thats why Its weird
like athrose or whatever its called is for old people isnt it?
@sour valley
any other health professionals?
Ladan
Most likely just your scapula is getting stuck
Could be from kyphotic posture **hunchback
@thorny dew
Could be a sign of muscular imbalance in the shoulder if you play sports. I would recommend going to the Dr for it.
Yeah I will
whats hunchback?
I just looked at Kyphosis, but my posture is good, can that still be it?
@eternal dock
If you don't have bad posture it's probably an imbalance or it's just stuck from repeated motion
Hanging from a pull-up bar fixes it for me
Just look at scapular stretches
okay, I was scared of arthrosis but can that happen with 14 years old?
arthritis? yes it can happen
hmm im not sure about arthrosis
I hope its just what @eternal dock said cause unhealable stuff wouldn't be cool at such a young age
That is good
The crunching sound is probably your scapula just look into it with yt
nah im gonna see a doctor, otherwise I will get told that I have cancer, ebola, corona, and no spine
lmao
but thanks, you kinda calmed me down
So my wrist has been sore for the past 3 days and doens't seem to improve much
Stretching definitely relieves some of the pain but
Heating pad stretch and take a break from aimtraining
aimer recommended me 2 days no gaming 2 weeks off kovaaks when I got an injury like that
@eternal dock is using a computer still fine though?
If you need to
I would just try to refrain from using your wrist
Also massaging your forearm might help
Most of the muscles that control your wrist are in your forearm
whats a good mentality for kovaaks/aim training? im kinda bored and burnt out but i dont want to quit bcs i have nothing to do
If you really want to play you can take a day to explore random scenarios that aren’t necessarily the most useful or useful at all
@sour valley
@sour valley prolly sounds dumb but i make myself play kovaaks because i want to beat highscores and get as high as possible on leaderboards, improves aim and competitive hunger
@sour valley think of reasons why you want to aim train
and use those reasons to motivate you to continue reaching your aim goals
@coarse jewel
@wanton inlet
@wispy galleon
i play on 60hz so my progress is slowed, i know its possible, cuz mana got to gm on 60hz i think, but its hard.
Its probably the worst on tracking scenarios
Are you at gm?
Probably not. It only really matters once you start climbing up the ranks, especially at master+ where your setup matters. Maybe then you might be able to upgrade to a 144 or 240hz monitor
higher refresh rate doesnt impact your current skill
it impacts your skill ceiling
that's why people like mana can get gm2 on 60hz
I'm at diamond benchmarks, so I shouldn't worry about upgrading quite yet?
upgrading at any point is entirely your choice
Mana
Is
Insane
Hes an anomaly
But I mean
Mana fucking destroyed
His previous scores
Once he got 144hz
Just saying
mana isnt a good person to look at and try to compare yourself to
man is just too good
if you are talking about static dots
then it probably doesnt affect
since ive got 1400 on 60hz
on 1w6ts
Who is mana?
former #1 tracker
Any vods?
GG @last depot, you just advanced to level 1 !
ty
i read scapular
and now miss the gym 😦
my post workout scapular exercises
cant forget the blessed facepull
athlean x is the best
vouch
He uses fake weights though
even if that is true he still gives the best info of training
Yeah his videos are good
is there a specific visual setting for the eyes? feel like my eyes are tired as fuk from playing kovaaks
dont think it matters if he uses fake weights
look at my guy
hes around 50 years old, looking that good
if hes doing that with fake weights, good on him
my right shoulder tenses when I try to lift it over my head and when I rotate going up it hurts (it's like a sharp pain in the socket area idk how else to describe it). Any suggestions on stretches or what I should do?
KING SO!
I’m struggling with shoulder pain near my neck and about halfway between me shoulder and neck and it’s been seriously affecting my aim. What can I do for it?
Go to a doctor
That may be because your monitor is too low and youre having to look down. ik i had that problem
@eternal dock what does scm mean sorry
it's the type of muscle it is
Oh okay thanks dude
Ok thanks
What about for pain in my right trap muscle
they're connected
might be some underlying shoulder issues
probably a good idea to see a dr and go to physical therapist then
or do posture correction excercises
Ok thanks dude
I’ll try that
What should I look up
For posture correction excercises
facepulls
I would 100% recommend athlean x, he knows his shit
I recommend the YouTube channel 1HP they have so much useful and helping things it helped me a lot
I'm recovering some strength

Muscle memory isn't a meme when it comes to lifting
I went from failing 275x5 to doing sets of 315x5 in under 2 weeks
Athleanx is great for therapy type stuff
There are much better sources for strength and bodybuilding
But his recovery and therapy and corrective stuff is great
His lower back pain therapy video saved me last month
Wdym I heard athlean can lift a lot of fake weights
Gotta be pretty strong to do that

athlean x is fucking shredded
Anyone can be lean, like that’s the least impressive thing in the gym
Uhhh ur muscle strand count stays exactly the same at let’s say 6 and 12 percent body fat
It’s just more visible at 6 because your leaner lol
Like everyone has abs some just aren’t visible
Do you guys recommend doing these stretches before a session?

tend to have wrist pain during an hour of training
i went to the doctor bcs of wrist pain and he said it wasn't smart to do wrist stretches
i had to make my wrist stronger it helped alot
but idk if that is the case for everyone
^ strengthening your wrist is prob the best idea
if your wrist is weak i reccomend the grip strengtheners
also makes your arms look more vascular
so
win win
Whats the most common cause of wrist pain?
any1 know how to fix bad posture when clicking dots ? for tracking its fine but when i click i tend to lean forward a lot
posture corrector helps
a posture brace actually sounds like a good investment
For you weight lifting people. Do you do big weights with short reps or light weights with long reps
Depends on what ur goal is
High weight low reps is good for strength training, low weight high reps Is good for bodybuilding
athlean ab workout is pog
@dense furnace whats the difference between bodybuilding and strength training?
Look big (be toned lean and vascular) vs be able to lift big and be physically stronger would be my guess
Idk I just run like a
Does anyone have any good resources on gaming and sleep? Anything on how to prevent gaming from reducing sleep quality in particular would be great.
Yea it’s really just looking good vs being strong
Good athletes do both
Chris bumstead for example has his heavy weight strength training phases
And most elite powerlifters have some hypertrophy training cycles
Yea u usually wanna do both
For bodybuilding I don’t think it’s required tho
U look at guys like Phil Heath who never go heavy
And even Ronnie who started off as a power lifter never went heavy unless the cameras were on
my right hand pinkie's knuckle feels like it has bruises, maybe it has to do with the way i hold my phone
Hand clamps exercises are op no more hand cramps or wrist pain
Anyone got a good vid/tutorial about stretching "shoulder blades" muscle or around this area (I have no idea how this muscles are called lmfao)
\
it's called your scapula
Is athlean X a good place to learn from?
What are some reliable sources if I want to conduct research on exercising
Athlean is good if ur goal is like overall health
If ur goal is strength training, or muscle building there are better sources
^ exactly
It’s meant so the average person can work out and build some muscle without getting hurt, lots of his advice comes from the perspective of minimizing injury risk.
His stuff is good but it seems almost purposely complicated, hard to put it all together into something actionable
You’d be better off first finding some kind of resistance training schema (4 days a week push /pull, 5 day split, etc, 2 or 3 day total body, etc) then using his advice to inform what kind of exercises to include and how to perform them
Ah i see
Ive been going outside like 3 times a month
And because of that whenever i walk my feet tend to feel sore and sometimes my knees will hurt
Should i just walk more consistently and then I'll be able to run again?
yep, just increase gradually
find a distance that works and do it often, start to bump up the distance, start cycling in run/walks, gradually increase the portion you are running, etc... do it by feel, you'll get there soon enough.
Remember to enjoy walking too, even when you're running again going for a walk is a great rest day activity and good for the brain lol.
the key to all exercise is building load tolerance, as long as you don't overdo it all at once you will get accustomed to whatever it is you're doing.
rule of thumb, if something still feels tweaky after a day or two, you probably overdid something and should dial back a smidge in some way (either distance, pace, or number of times you are running per week) if your knee feels a little tender but it goes away in the morning, you're probably a-ok.
GG @polar thunder, you just advanced to level 1 !
His stuff about being able to lose weight while also gaining muscle
That one is underrated
Keep forgetting what it's called
thought that was a stock portfolio at first
Thanks man and goodluck! @violet swan
strange question relating to eye sight
how long does it take you guys to lock onto a target
i feel like when im switching targetrs there is a delay before its fully in focus
which causes tro miss a lot of shots
bcs my arm reacting but eye not
i think my left eye fucked up maybe like twitches out when too many fast movement
xD
I feel the same, that's why my static clicking and reactivity sucks
@ebon thicket how tall are you
@violet swan serious? do you have eye problem
i have never been diagnosed officially but i know i have some vision issue that fucks me up
I'm 6'2 @violet swan
like on the fast scens when the bot is moving super quick my left eye just spazzes out and everything out of focus for a second
and i remember around 2k13/14 my left eye would just be twitching like shit bcs too much cs
@ebon thicket haha im 6"3 and 6"8 without the gamers hunch
and compressed spine
uhh, no, not that serious, just slow brain
@ebon thicket 6'2" under 176 lbs whats your end goal?
just curious cause ima similar height and weight
I hit my goal, but gonna diet for 2 weeks more then I'm done
okay i was gonna say i think my weights pretty good i feel like at this height ive been told many times being under 170 can be kinda unhealthy
or maybe it was 160
Yeah I mean it depends on body comp too but 170 is fine
When I was actively working out I got up to 200 and was fit
But now im 150 and i look like jesus on the cross
hahaha @dull void true and obviously because muscle weighs more than fat. When im lifting but dieting i lose little weight and maintain around 180 but i know im losing fat and gaining muscle so its hard to tell. I need to get a BMI tool or get accurate testing done
Does posture play a big role
Should I take a nap right after practicing my aim?
I normally nap before and play through
Or I warm up in game play a game or two then hop on kovaaks depends on how I’m feeling
Should really aim to play when you’re more awake to get the most out of it
Hey y’all, I seem to be having issues with staying calm during a game, often getting either tilted, irritated, or just unfaithful in my own abilities whenever I don’t do as well as I can. This happens quite often and I feel like it’s just a part of me, so much so that my friends have gotten used to it.
Doesn’t matter if it’s Apex Legends, VALORANT, or some other game, I like to play competitively. I know I have the ability to do well, but when that doesnt happen consistently, I get tilted/irritated/down. I start blaming my own accuracy, I start doing stupid things(peeking corners, not using abilities, etc.), and I then start to bottom frag and perform significantly worse. This is also one of the few reasons as to why I’m hardstuck at 5000 RP in Apex ranked.
If anything, I just wish I could come out calmer and better, and just learn mechanics and gamesense faster without the tilt. If anything, my two friends often top frag when I play with them, and they’re much better even though we’re roughly the same age and have played games for quite a while.
What do you think I should do? Is there something I’m missing when it comes to competitive games?
Sorry for wall of text, this thing is typically complex to describe in just a few words
well first thing is to not compare yourself to others around you
the only person you should try to beat is you from yesterday
if you cant keep your aim consistant, figure out why exactly
and learning is about making mistakes and learning from them
if you die from a stupid peek, learn how to peek better by not doing that peek again in that scenario
eventually it will all click together
however comma, u cant start thinking about that sort of thing too much, because its in the past and hindsight is 20/20. u can only worry about getting better from then on
for me specifically when im worried about my k/d in tf2 i just unbind the key to look at the scoreboard
How does one deal with burnouts
I've been consistently getting burned out on video games every 3-4 months
I feel you man, just walk away from games and pick up a hobby outside of the internet or find a new game that excites you
i felt that wayt playing fortnite till i finally stopped. Mix it up with mmos, shooters, anything. If youre not going pro in any game i always say play whatever you genuinely have fun playing
My aim feels really inconsistent, some days I’m hitting flicks without even trying to and on others I can barely hit an immobile target (no exaggeration btw). I get that people have off days sometimes, but the difference feels way too drastic to be because of that. 33cm/360. Could this be a health issue? I've tried making sure that the other factors (posture, temperature of the AC, chair and arm level) are around the same as when I played previously, and it kinda helped, but there's still a huge difference. My mouse arm and hand feel kind disconnected, and I'm not sure why. I think that's the cause tho. Any solutions?
Should I take a nap right after practicing my aim?
@robust pike if you wanna full tryhard then aim practice for an hour or so, then play your game, then nap, then another aim practice after the nap is most efficient
@violet swan maybe you play too much?
can someone help me? my shoulder and elbow hurt a lot on some days, and not on others. im 13 years old so it cant be age
what do you normally do? any exercise? Carry heavy things?
@violet swan I only play like 3 hours a day of r6 I just haven't been able to enjoy the game as much
@violet swan not rlly, i just sit. i think it has to do with how i move my arm when i play fortnite, cuz i play low sense for that, and i move my arm at awkward angles
I never sleep should I start sleeping for more than 2 hours
depending on your age you should sleep 7-10 hours
@eternal dirge yes, I'd even go far as saying this has really crippled my play a lot. I'd say I have ability etc nd even done really good Vs top players in cs etc but after many years I realize it's some anxiety issue or something idk
Have to focus really hard to clear mind
@violet swan 3 hours a day could be too much for you
Well for the past few weeks the most I've been playing is an hour and a half at max
Hey! Can someone help@me out? I’ve been getting wrist pain regardless of long 2-3 week breaks. Stretching/icing. I play finger tip and a lot of the pain actually chills at the top of my hand and palm.
I went and got it checked by the doc and they did some test on my wrist, they said “the pain isn’t coming from your wrist”
Basically, should I switch to something more comfortable? Palmclaw? Palmclaw is really comfortable for me but I can’t aim for with it.
Also I’m 23yo
always go for the comfortable grip
2-3 weeks isn't long if it's anything to do with tendons. but yeah, find a comfortable grip and rest longer.
Where does rsi for gaming occur?
And where does rsi for phone use occur (the thumb I assume)
I have been getting really bad pain in my right thumb base
Last few days
Nd idk if bcs of grinding kovak a lot or phone ude
Or both
I feel when I play kovak I can't help but squeeze mouse
Like it'll happen eventually
Pretty sure it's from the wrist
depends. RSI isn't one thing, it's a huge group of issues from repetitive tasks
definitely spend some time working on relaxing your grip though. most people tense up when they lack precision so if you work on smoothness stuff while keeping relaxed you'll feel like tensing up less.
you'll have to actively think about it at first but after a while it becomes habit
It's just a pain on left side of my wrist / base thumb
But it's just turned up now
At end of day
Had some last night
Is smoothness training best way
I use some kind of palm claw grip
Not full claw
Like 70 claw 30 palm
Nd I tense up all the time
Nd not even a high score to show xD
is your mouse heavy?
@halcyon nest you need to ice the pain regularly, do wrist stretches, flexor workouts, if the pain gets too much hemp oil lotion works wonders
and like @jolly kiln spark said, you need to work on loosening your grip.
i was messing with my mouse grip and i feel i do much better with wrist planted on my mousepad but i move with my arm im on 27 cm would this cause any health concerns ?
anyone know how to get ads sense in kovaaks for fortnite
@vague karma no this is completely normal and some players like playing like that as it gives them more control over their mouse
@stone venture use advice aimtrainer or fort nite channel
@static cliff thanks that how i feel i just seen post where people hurt their wrists i just wanted to confirm if it was safe
Nothing is safe if you overdo it, take breaks and stretch and you will be good @vague karma
@thorny dew ok thanks
@vague karma if you rest your wrist on your mouse youll fuck it up lol it should be on the mousepad
As I can concentrate and focus more without losing sight of the objective I propose, sometimes I feel that my brain is off and very rarely activated I do not know how I could describe that sensation.
Zoning out maybe
@errant relic give an example?
autopilot?
i didnt see there was a health section maybe i will ask here as well i just asked this in advice
i get significant cramping in my shoulder when i do any of the scenarios, it happens in valorant as well i assume but over such a long period of time i dont notice it as much but its a bit of a nagging pain over the last few days i used to run 0.60-65 for a long time before i changed mouse from da13 to viper and mousepad and they just felt too fast, not sure how to rectify this do i go up in sens or is it a posture thing?
i mostly play valorant and i have a low sens 0.52 400 dpi
most likely a posture thing
this kinda felt good not gonna lie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXkSDfgAHGw

Welcome to one of the first walk through videos I will be making more consistently for the gaming community. In this video I walk you through a series of stretches you can do after a gaming binge or after a couple of competit...
i have the problem that im working 8 hourse a day infront of a pc and at home im playing like 3-4 more hours and at the weekend like up to 12 hourse. i have often lower back hurts, extremly high headach that i need to sleep or i have it the hole day .. does anyone maybe know how i can reduce my high headach? am i sitting wrong?
im eating very healty and going 2-3 times a week to the gym and im 6,2" to 190-200 lbs
If i said "thats unhealthy stop it," then we would be talking about over 90% of all gamers. What i love to do is to take bathroom and food breaks every 2 hours, and just look at stuff other than a screen for like 5-10 minutes. This really helps when streaming too. As for the pain, yeah, i like to sit straight up, or if you have a flexible chair, just lay back in it. My rule is to always have my back against my chair. Helps a lot. Also having a really soft bed can help. Of course, Im not a medical professional, and im very young, so some of these may not help as much for you, but this is what ive found best for me. @violet swan TL;DR: Just take breaks every 2 hours, 5-10 mins, make food, go to the bathroom, do a short workout, ect. Make sure you have your back against your chair.

@errant ridge Thanks a lot. i try this out know and hope this helps me too 🙂
@violet swan also make sure that your Chair is like really comfortable. that helps alot
just common knowledge
@violet swan strengthen your lower back
a lot of the time lower back pain is due to muscle weakness
so if you strengthen the muscles, your posture will improve becuase your body can actually sit in that position without tiring out
a lot of the time lower back pain is due to muscle weakness
@simple birch Okay ty.. whats the best for strengh the lower back muscles
well i would recommend stuff
but all the stuff i know is in the gym
not at home
so youtube is probably your best friend
You could try to get into yoga or do a daily stretching routine
I implemented a daily stretching routine to help with my posture and back
My routine is a combination of these two videos and I try to do it everyday, and it has helped me

Yeah i would do 8 reps of each excersise but u can start lower. You dont want to overdo it or you can really hurt yourself even worse

@violet swan if you do end up going to the gym, rows, deadlifts and pull ups did wonders for my back pain and posture when i was still working out.
How to get off of auto pilot in games? Whenever I play slow games like valorant where you sit and hold angles, i feel like i lose focus.
Carnivore gives u good overall testosterone
But it wrecks ur free t
So it’s basically useless
It’s like having a big dick that can’t get hard
cant relate
@dense furnace i can understand carnivore, but i thought fasting was just good all around?
Intermittent fasting is generally good if your goal is to get leaner
no fasting is unhealthy and tends to promote binge eating
depriving your body of food for extended periods of time is never a good idea and in extreme cases will just send your body into survival mode leading to you burning less calories than if you were eating
the best way to get leaner is simply to exercise more, along with lowering portion size
i do intermittent fasting out of laziness and dont binge eat
not eating out of laziness and intentionally depriving yourself of food are two different things
@dense furnace there havent been many rigorous studies on it but intermittent fasting when done in a scheduled manner and not as an eating disorder have anecdotally and in some limited studies proved to be effective. it's not like youre supposed to fast for extended periods of time, its that you only eat in a restricted window every day. youre still getting the same number of calories.
I mean
yes and no?
intermittent fasting is just eating in a very set time slot each day while not eating during the rest
is it not?
yea that's what it is aljo, the problem is if you deny hunger pangs you just tend to overcompensate later, along with a lack of energy throughout the day compared to if you were eating.
they did a study and found kids that skipped breakfast actually tended to be heavier due to them overcompensating later
like when I was still in school before corona, Id eat lunch at like 1 and dinner at 6
and that would carry me until the next day
yea you're just not hungry
Im still consuming prob under 2k a day

people who intermittent fast usually ignore their feelings of hunger because it's not "time to eat"
the only times Ive actually felt hungry is when I worked out before I ate anything
but im not sure if that was hunger
or smth else
it was probably hunger tbh
was quite unpleasant
to add to what slayher said
sumos eat pretty much all their calories at the end of the day for the same sort of reason
^
like im sure intermittent fasting can work if ur disciplined, but if u have that level of discipline why not just eat smaller meals throughout the day instead of depriving yourself
So I've been trying to fix my crappy posture lately, and I've noticed that the more I slouch whenever I play Kovaaks the better my aim gets and the easier it is for me to focus on the target. Whenever I straighten my back and sit properly it becomes significantly more difficult to aim. Is this something to do with desk ergonomics?
it might have to do with you consciously focusing on your posture leading you to focus less on actually aiming
dont slouch not worth in the long run
or it could simply be you're not used to aiming upright yet
but yea slouching isnt worth it
do yu posture https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw1xapkP5HA
@dense furnace eating smaller meals for most people is pretty inconvenient
It’s much easier to skip breakfast do whatever you have to do w/ lunch somewhere in there and dinner
I mean we’re not talking on what’s convenient or not, we’re speaking on the effectiveness of certain eating habits. Also it’s usually much more convenient to be unhealthy rather than healthy in today’s society
Does cardio have to be something like running/walking for extended durations? I personally find running boring unless if it's a sprint, and I want to do some extra cardio in a more tolerable way.

one of the most fun cardio things ive found is beat saber
@violet swan jumping rope is super easy and you dont have to do it for nearly as long as running
my friend said he just got VR and has beat saber so I cant wait to try it lmao @thin cobalt
my index fingertip hurts when i press on something with it. should i take a break or push through?
how long should i take a break? @worthy cloud
until it feels better
ok ty
Hey guys what's your opinion on sports drinks? Not monster or stuff like that, I'm talking about gatorade and integrators like that
Oh i see, then what do you suggest for a quick pick me up? After I'm done with my swimming i feel like a beaten carpet lol
water and banana
8oz of chocolate milk is the ultimate post workout drink
one time i made the mistake of buying like a 20 oz bottle of choco milk
and drank the whole thing
after playing bball for like 3 hrs
the pain i felt
🤮
that's a lot of shit
i feel like somethings stuck on my outer wrist like
it feels like it needs to pop but it wont
😦
air? I crack it often
my wrist crack easily with movements and they never stop doing it, can regular stretching and exercise help?
I think cracking is just nitrogen bubbles popping
i dont feel pain but they crack 100% of the time, I can do ti for 10 minutes straight, usually a nitro crack has a "cooldown" of 20 min
go see a doctor
Yea it's accompanied by pain then check it out
Otherwise it's fine, just bubbles be crack a lacking
Does anyone else experience forearm tendonitis by the wrist when playing kovaaks. Does it go away, or am I doing something wrong? I get quite a bit of swelling.
that's not normal, no
swelling is definitely not good, get that checked out, that could mean it's inflamed from injury
@finite mountain ^
@violet swan do you think the injury is from aiming? What should I do different
im not sure, could be a lot of things
@finite mountain I used to get forearm pain from long sessions with an overly tight grip
my right eye is burning
Can I firebend now?
no, but you cant shoot laser
oh fk yeah
Imagine Daan being able to shoot laser through his eyes
N O E S C A P E
@violet swan mine crack too nd also my neck cracks
Does anyone do meal prep here ?
Fucking cba
@finite mountain probably due to repetitive strain. go and see a doctor and rest until it goes away. don't try to play through it or you'll have to spend even longer resting to heal up.
also +1 to make sure you have a relaxed grip, but rest first and then when you're better come back and work on that.
What should or does a relaxed grip look like
claw with relaxed finger
does drinking coffee improve performance in games?
Ehhhhhhh it can if you're sleep deprived but it also has detrimental effects in game so depending on it is a bad idea
Thats why you take ltheanine with it
mellows it out so its mostly all benefits
or just drink green tea
has it both naturally
Well for me drinking coffee just makes me slightly more hyper and my aim slightly more spastic, I usually just drink it when I'm sleepy. Probably helps?
Not really sure where to ask this, but i always thought that the younger you were, (to a certain extent), the faster your natural ability to react is. But i noticed that a lot of pros and rallex and scuezy are like 20+ or at least 17 and they seem to do better than the younger pros. any idea why?
raw reaction time is a very small part of aiming ability. experience advantage and more time spent practicing will outweigh it nearly every time
if anything you are only starting to reach ur peak at 17
wait those are reaction times? those are too high right?
im 26 and i average like idk 165-170
and im always stoned
well shit I guess im lucky
26 best age for reaction time confirmed
damn 145
green tea sounds kinda op
where are you guys testing your reaction times?
ngl
and its great with a lil honey in it
idk never been a green tea guy
also theyre prob testing on humanbenchmark
holy shit averaging 145 pretty sure i get like 250 lol
I just use human benchmark
i have like 50ms less on this website
i get 145 on that
i mean
i dont know how you can botch
a reaction time test
like it's literally just
see and click
fr
I think it's just faster cause
bigger
like there isnt any other visual stimulus
on the screen
maybe
yeah lmfao
i counted a full second out when it turned green and got 1300
so
slightly flawed testing
It says world record is 120ms??
recorded world record
sounds legit tho
idk
I have hit between 90 and 110 ms without preclicking multiple times on hbm
Not constantly
I wonder how they'd qualify a world record since there are so many variables
i think anything under 100 ms is literally impossible
or hes just a freak of nature
also possible
I do have really good gear
Also I feel like hbm is something you can get better at
Like you learn to get yourself in a state to react more instantly
couldnt be me :/
I know a kid who consistently averages 130ms with a higher latency monitor than mine
Its kind of a worthless measurement though
My reaction time in actual games is like 500ms

true a lot of variables, playing a game and reacting to a jump scare always increases reaction time lol
yeah same

Predict much
Bet
GG @upbeat lotus, you just advanced to level 3 !
Look at these plebs doubting the master of the universe
yea
im not sure how
you scuff smth like that
either theyre taking X time off due to assuming input lag
or it's "more accurate" because there is no other visual stimulus
seems like bull shit
on human benchmark i avg like 190
unless i'm just on some shit rn
i hit 170-200 on hbm depending on day
i hit 145 on that when i tried
with like no variance
so idk
tru
Just use a ruler and do some maths
how old @pale parcel
21
old
I'm a 'master of the universe' at clicking green screens
arbitter vrt is my monitor's refresh rate 😳
that was very
of you
you can tell a difference between 144 and 240 even if you were a 300ms boomer
when doing ~13 min of clicking exercises using claw grip, is it normal to feel a bit of pain/cramping in the space between the middle and ring finger?
you should stretch regularly to avoid any injury and prevent things like rsi/carpal tunnel
i don't have any pain like that
@hollow lion its not true, i tried it as well.
i get 300 cuz im on 60hz and im slow as well, and im getting 195 there
dont think this site is accurate at all
you can hit all of them at the same time and it feels like its just throwing random numbers at you
think someone posted that site a while ago and said it shaves like 60ms off your time lol
think someone posted that site a while ago and said it shaves like 60ms off your time lol
@dull void would make sense. my face was like 😳 through the whole vid. I thought I was good with about 160
Glucosamine for joint issues
Taking anti inflammatorys for longterm is not good
Takes awhile for it to start working but when it does it's a good longterm solution
wtf is that mouse
see how my mouse isn’t straight
also yeah thats norrmal
yeah just claw
think someone posted that site a while ago and said it shaves like 60ms off your time lol
@dull void not sure bc i get 137-145 human benchmark
but not sure how accurate hb is tho
It only shaves off 30s
is it normal if my hand and wrist are pretty much completely relaxed, but my forearm is super tense? didnt even realize it before but for some reason my arm got tired really quick today.
Stop jerking off so much
no can do
yeah i sawww someone i cant remember who was gm saying they're like that
yeah seral and xotaic were saying they were like that
so it's normal
idk if it's good but it's normal
could be your desk
i realized a while ago my forearm and elbow are lower than my hand and wrist so i have to jam my shoulder up or let forearm sink and get tired more quickly
my elbow feels like it gets hot for a second, then it goes away what is that?
I have the same feeling but its on the right side of my shoulder
And It can last up to 2 hours
i get that too sometime idk what it is its rare though
my "flexor carpi ulnaris" legit hurts so much its not even funny LMFAO SOMEONE HELP
@icy portal
@stone locust go see a doctor when something starts hurting
bruh, he can't fix your problem, I think that's very serious
F
g502
You are tensing that muscle too much
Also for that it can also be related to your gaming position
my position is fine i think?
why do i have wrist pain at the end of each kovaaks session? any tips on how to prevent that
i constantly think about how hard i hold the mouse
have an internal rest between each session nd some wrist exercises before kovaaks help my wrist pain
What’s best reaction time?
under 160
@sonic smelt change your shoot button to space for maybe 10 minutes and see how light the mouse feels
don't apply much pressure to the mouse, make it feel light
Does anyone know of an alternative to caffeine to boost focus & energy? I can't have caffeine anymore due to medical stuff and I've heard there's other things out there.
Levlup is a german brand for gaming boosters, without caffeine I think. The ones called hydration drink have no caffeine as far as I know
This looks pretty good so far if it actually provides benefits despite being low sugar and zero caffeine 😮
it does as far as i heard
i trained for 2-3 weeks and now I am beginning to feel pain in my forearm. I only feel it when i need to lift something but even when the object is small i feel a bit pain. Does anyone know what this is and what I should do?
do the stretching and warm up
I just joined this discord, is there a streching and warmup routine here?
there's a wrist stretch guide in #resources @violet swan I suggest you dig around all the stuffs there
oh nice
thank u ❤️
probs been asked 100 times, but is shaky tracking because im tensing up too much or something posture related?
@ripe knoll Do you do any smoothness training or stretching? If not then that's probably your issue
i do smoothness training but no stretches
Then that's definitely it
You want to stretch to avoid injuries down the line as well
If I'm setting up a schedule for strength training, can I have sunday as strength training for my arms, and then do a leg routine the next day? Does this count as recovery for my arms from yesterday?
generally yeah
it's good to focus on different parts of the body on different days
so upper body one day
legs the next
@stone locust
Massage your inner elbow
You'll feel like a little bump on your elbow on the outside of it
It's bone but all of your muscles and tendons in that area connect there should help
@wheat shadow Can do I something like HIIT on the same day as strength training and then walk tmmrw?
i mean generally hiit are interchangeable depending on what you're talking about
but i wouldn't overdo it
like i wouldn't do hiit calisthenics and then do strength training
seems like a bad idea
Makes sense
hey meow what stretches did you mean when you were replying to the other guy
GG @sage heart, you just advanced to level 2 !
sorry to butt into the convo btw
mrmeow i used to do it just fine
i did insanity and lifted 4/5 times a week just fine
i do 5 sets of pushups and (chin ups or pull ups)
last couple days my smoothness has gone to shit cannot track for my life so maybe these stretches will help me out
every other day
thanks for the info my guy
just need to properly stretch and rest your body
and run every other day
but tbh i wouldnt recommend lifting 4 times a week
unless ur training for football szn or smthn
? lol im okay
yeah but you're not most ppl
Your still ok but it just stunts muscle growth
no offense
idk
lmao i play sports plenty and it keeps me in shape
for the general population
if youre about done growing 4 times a week is perfectly fine
yeah ofc
if youre in HS maybe not
but a lot of people here are in hs
a true
including myself
if you dont play sports no reason to lift heavy
rn i dont lift
wait till college thats what a lot of people do
because i have no access to equipment
Whats the general rule of thumb for how many reps/sets
thats the other tough part, college helps with that
if youre young mr meow just do hiit with like pushups mixed in but i wouldnt do both lol
Alright
like insanity usually has pushups mixed in and shoulder/tricep work which is nice
but yeah i do hiit calisthenics every other day
and every other day the next day
I run
but that wont work for everyone
i wish i liked running
guys my hand is very strange, especially my thumb, I stretch every day and yet it is strange to aim and hold the mouse, any advice?
i also cant afford nice running shoes rn

@little holly hand 🅱️roke?
Maybe your mouse grip is off? I don't know tis defo seems like something you should go to the doctor for
Any good websites/resources for information on exercising?
Aside from this chat
this is for wrist stuff its what im using rn lol
helpful demonstrations
Yeah thats what I do as well
im gonna start doing this more often
idk last couple days i woke up and cant aim for shit
You should do this every day tbh
Yeah def do it in the morning
idk jerk off or something to warm your arm muscles up
and then do the stretch
fair
gonna see if it has made my aim any smoother
i also think some of it might be down to how hot it is in the UK rn
much harder to stay focused in this weather
Heat and temp can effect your focus yeah
Just grab a barrel full of ice and sit in it
play your games from in there

Don't even have to worry about getting thirsty
fill my PC up with some of that shit too
this ryzen processor making my room warm as fuck
same
Might actually swap to top mount
10 degree diff doesn't really matter to me
the hottest I've seen my cpu get is 50 degrees
yeah its just blower fans
they suck and probably powercolour heatsinks suck also
but i got this gpu in summer 18' when it was impossible to find an aftermarket version of it
because so many coomers decided they were gonna be bitcoin entrepreneurs
im having pain in my forearm, i should take a long break from aiming right
ye
fuck man
idk about 'long break'
take a break until pain is gone and then try to take steps to not have it come back (modify posture/grip/grip strength/etc)
I feel like I have a lot of tension or something in the area labeled '12' in this pic. I've followed the stretches listed in the sparky resources for quite a while but haven't noticed any improvements in that area.
Does anyone know any stretches or ways to relieve it? Could my grip be causing the issue? I play with a mix of claw or fingertip depending on the type of aiming I'm doing. Any advice is appreciated.
have you tried massaging it?
I also have something similar, I now exclusively use just my arm to aim since if i use my wrist or hand/fingertips it causes me pain/burning.
Switching to kpu fixed this for me
im having trouble moving my wrist to the right. almost feels like an elastic band pulling it back whenever i try tracking that direction. has anyone else had this?
could be the way your arm is angled?
so you are actually already rotated to the right in the usual position, and thus you can't go any further
@nocturne wren ^
Does caffeine help improve performance in game?
@violet swan i thought it was that but the thing is is that i can still move it to the right but i have to put some force behind it. unlike moving it to the left which seems effortless in comparison
@naive creek slightly but i wouldn’t recommend it
Does caffeine help improve performance in game?
@naive creek for me personally, i feel that i can only take about 1 cup before i start to get jittery and heartrate goes up uncomfortably. Even then I sip it. Of course this is all preferencial, but yeah it can. Read up on it, and don't take it in excess or like before 8 hours before bedtime, as it can cause sleeping issues etc.
Does anyone else have a fix for growing forearm, wrist and arm pain? I work a "work from home" job which requires me to be in front of a computer all day, and despite my morning runs, I still find the pain growing worse and worse everyday when it comes time after work for me to want to play some fps games.
you shouldn't rely on external stimulants like caffeine
just get 8+ hours of sleep and exercise you should feel energized
Uhh. I don't know, I just wanted to say mine don't do that.
should be fine. by knuckles can do that sometimes
as long as it doesnt hurt dont see the problem
Mine do that
Maybe you just have flexible knuckles
lol
Fingers aren't supposed to bend that way
i hev carpel tunnel poggers
bruh
wait
@hollow garnet
was i just in a server with you
in cs
or was that someone else
my name was?
oh
nvm then
@hollow garnet https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198157423513/
this is him
not me
anyone else fingertip grip with like the side of their ring finger?
GG @worn pivot, you just advanced to level 9 !
im kinda pushing the skin against my nail i guess?
and it's like red and a bit more flat than the other finger
and it hurts a bit which prevents me from claw grip
or maybe it doesn't really hurt that much, it's just uncomfortable
im 14, 170 lbs, 5'9, I Started working out 5 months ago and stopped for 2 months because of corona. I can only bench 110 lbs/50Kg. Is this normal for a beginner or am i just weak?
you're fine, everyone starts somewhere
its hard to but you need to learn to make comparisons to your past self
is it normal for my wrist to pop out of socket when I play like ufo no skybots with a low sens
GG @marsh mesa, you just advanced to level 6 !
uh
no
@violet swan that's perfectly normal
you also will get back to where you were a lot faster than it took you to get there the first time
@marsh mesa you probably shouldn't be doing that if your wrist is actually popping
that's not good
don't force yourself to play fast tracking scens with low sens, it makes you more likely to get injured
so just switch my cm?
Bros, I hope it's nothing but my ring finger and pinky have been aching if I use my mouse for more than 2 mins
Also my wrist feels really uncomfortable too but idk if it's because I'm uncomfortable because im holding the mouse weird.
My elbow feels uncomfortable if I hold it at my normal position.
Should I seek medical attention or is this normal ?
Maybe I should lay off kovaak for a day or 2
What's the move here
Thank you for the advice I will most definitely use it.
How do you sit
Zda
Nd grip mouse
Have food desk setup nd chair height
Get a good chair it you plan to take
Game
Ergo mesh chairs
@halcyon nest is this what you are talking about ?
No
That looks cheap
Get decent one
With mesh seat also
Not full with padding
Something like that
I saw one of those
I'll see if I can sell this first
@halcyon nest I feel my grip is unhealthy I'll just send it here to get a 2nd opinion
How do you show on camera how it looks
Like 2 sides top and bottom ?
Side
The side where thumb is
Nd top I guess
When u do side try to make camera similar level to hand
Finding this server and the benchmarks, has been a good but bad thing for me, has been good because it has helped me seek a goal and improve, but bad because its making me think to hard on the scores and is making me angry when I see Im not doing how well I want to be, but I for some reason, cant pull myself out of that
just know that high scores/ personal bests are always way higher than the players average
that goes the same for everyone at all ranks
@wild grove so if im averaging at the high score, I should push nyself a bit?
yes
If you're averaging at or just under your PR, a new PR is usually close
uhhhh
i changed my sens to 23cm and was doing moothing
now when i move my wrist it clicks
did wrist exercises
now my aim feels shaky af during my smoothing routine but i got way higher scores
my hand is hurting whenever I play kovaaks for like 5 min how long should I pause my training?
GG @tame zephyr, you just advanced to level 2 !
MY shoulder is doing that weird crunching "noise", you cant hear it but i feel it, should I practice or dont until my doctors appointment?
*in 3 days
i'd wait.
okay thanks
hello, i have trouble being focus on kovaak when i train, but not when i'm playing normally. does anyone have a clue of where it could come from and how to counter it ?
GG @vocal reef, you just advanced to level 2 !
maybe listen to music
Don’t think of it as training then
im kind of the same, I haven't noticed anything doing this for a while although thats like a super aggressive claw. Also i tend to find myself naturally switching back to the normal/relaxed claw position more
My grip is like right in the middle of both of those
but it also depends on the game, i do mostly claw but i switch to fingertip sometimes depending on situation
I have a pain or kinda sore/cramped feeling around my thumb when I hold my mouse. I recently stopped gripping my mouse as hard but it’s been like that for a while
I tried not playing for 2 days but idk what would help I’ve been trying some thumb stretches/exercises
You also want to try to relax your forearm
The right side of my palm keeps on getting sore after a while whenever I practice my aim. I'm not sure if my mouse is too small or it's an underlying problem with my hand. Anyone else has/had the same issue?
Hello somebody knows an exercise for your hand and fingers? because my8 left hand when i play rhythm games makes me pain and idk why
maby i dont warm up
@violet swan there's a hand stretching guide in #resources
thanks
are there any people who train mental or anything
for me, when i start a new game im really interested in it and i get into flow state easily, but after i start dominating games they just get so booring and i lose all interest in them, even when im facing better players i cant bring back that excitment
everything just becomes so bad
my rt drops to around 350 i miss every shot, i get tilted etc
I've been wondering, has anyone god any very effective tips or tactics that they use to get in the flow state?
I've watched the videos, but maybe there are some other things that you guys do.
Is standing up every 30 minutes good? If I do this while I'm aimtraining, would that be fine or would it have an impact on my training?
yo anyone thought about leg raising to lower blood pressure
for better blood circulation
@violet swan maybe vod review and find weaknesses and try to improve them
idk, dont have money for dat
especially when its around 80 euros
Wdym you can do it yourself?
im not saying i can do it myself
im saying that im not sure i have 80 euros for that
Why can’t you do it yourself?
Most people just don't know what to look for jarno
And want someone who does to look at it
The best way I've found is watch high tier players get a hs on a scenario and find where your lacking
Hey it's a longshot but is there anyone here that has meditated for some time and has some experience to answer a question or 2? I've been struggling to meditate for 1 month now and I'm kinda on the brink of stopping
weight lifting is hard to get into but very worth it
just hit a 270 bench and I feel incredible
I don't really meditate personally, probably should
but I bet someone here does
@orchid knoll
keep going m8
hey theres a slight pain around the bottom of my pinky n ring finger should i be concerned?
if it persists for like a week and gets worse or is uncomfortable, yes
Hey it's a longshot but is there anyone here that has meditated for some time and has some experience to answer a question or 2? I've been struggling to meditate for 1 month now and I'm kinda on the brink of stopping
@quasi phoenix i used to meditate a lot by i havent been recently, still might be able to answer your question tho
