Most people in America can’t even do 315 idk what that is in kg
Oh have you heard about the 800 pound bench happening soon?
yeah how is that even possible
Lol Julius is just a beast
wait 315 bench? they cannot do that?
No lol
its weird tho with proper training in like 5-6 monts anyone can do it i guess:/ its not even much
maybe in a year
People in America don’t even know how to workout majority of the time
Never heard of them
they are 2 MDs, they like to lift heavy, and its like kind of my style
they dont look huge, not even big, but they just love to lift squats deadlift press and bech press, its like my kind of lifting love these guys
I feel like a lot of really strong dudes don’t look huge
Like only a few look like kiril or larry
actually it is the thing i like :) when i was in college i was warming up with peopls PRs, it was so fun :)) and i was really small back then
Stan was an actual bodybuilder so I guess he doesn’t count
Lol I like having the look to match, I was only strength training cause I play football
Lol I can’t catch or else I’d be a great wr so I’m a defensive end rn
nice nicee you are one of the strong ones :)
People in America don’t even know how to workout majority of the time
@dense furnace mind elaborating on this?
Lol yea I gotta add like 30 pounds for end tho
@dull trail a lot of people don’t know how to train for the results they’re looking for
i guess most people are like that, they see it on instagram or some catchy website which says do this and in 4 weeks you will be ripped as f.
they just buy chicken breasts some rice and brokoli and expect to be awesome
lol yup
i see tons of these in the gym every sungle day
Then people don’t even do sets to failure
yeah yeah its like RPE 4-5 :))
Or they treat working out like cardio
And don’t let themselves rest properly in between sets
Sets to failure is pretty dumb most of the times imo
i was one of the lucky ones i guess, beacuse i was fast, i walys had some strenth coach
ah
yeah i almost never do failure, mostly RPE 8-9
^ yea I learned to lift from my hs coaches who all played d1 @violet swan
is there anything to look out for other than going till fatigue
just increase every lift progressively, that is one of the best suggestion was for me. steady, slow, progressive
want good aesthetics and strength for tennis
Failure is not really good for bb bc you will most likely hit less reps in the next sets
also speed
So less volume
That’s the point tho shad
And volume is only good if ur doing it at the same intensity
A lot of people make the mistake of saying oh I wanna do more reps so I’m not gonna fatigue myself on each set
@dull trail hmm you want a lot of different things and tennis is a year round sport right? What’s the order of importance of what you want
You should aim for a certain amount of reps in each set and if you hit that rep count in every set you should up the weight
I think that's the smartest way for progression
Yea progressive overload is the best way to build strength
Yeah that's why I think going all in on all sets is not the way to go bc you will most likely get more volume in if you go rpe 8-9
All in is still best for muscle growth cuz at the end of the day you’re trying to damage the tissue as much as possible
Like at the end of a set it should hurt
Usually the most growth occurs in the last 2-3 reps which is why u need to go for failure
And then u usually do some half reps til ur totally burnt
I think that's not optimal tho but you should always do what works the best for you
Look at any ifbb pros workouts they all do it
Yeah in my country it's kinda different
Some of them go to failure but also many of them do the rpe 8-9 method I mentioned
End of the day bodybuilding is mostly genetics so u can get away with being suboptimal
Yeah that's true also all methods work at the end of the day some of them better some of them not
GG @coral geode, you just advanced to level 2 !
I think you should always go with the method you like the best
yep the genetics, some people can lift 225pounds in their first month! crazy, there was a guy in football team, he was really skinny as well, wide receiver again, in his 5th week he could squat more than 225, and pressed 225, amazing
Bc fun also keeps you motivated
of course at the end of the day its fun having fun and getting happy about what you are doing
you might be happy with only 2 kgs each hand you know, they who are they to judge you
@dull trail hmm you want a lot of different things and tennis is a year round sport right? What’s the order of importance of what you want
@dense furnace strength to put balls where I want and serve hard, speed and agility to quickly switch directions and run for shots
I think forehand and backhand use about the same muscles as hitting and serving is the same sequence as pitching in baseball if that helps
@violet swan hey do you remember any of your strength exercises from when you were a sprinter since i feel they would be helpful for pepper
sure, tons of lunges, heavy squats, half squats, jumping squats, crazy explosive heavy bench presses, tons of snatches, and heavy deadlfts, mostly olympic stuff in short
I did similar routines for hockey
yeah as KevinL says, tons of plyometrics of course, but they were not as in weight lifting
explosive work helps athletes a lot
as i wasa 100 meters sprinter, we did almost only explosive work, the longest i run was like 800 meters i guess, and almost never did weight training above 6 reps
btw if somenoe is interested one of my latest coaches made me run a lot of 2000s, and even some weekends 10.000s, but it got me a loooot slower, so never fall for that, it doesnt build any endurance or whatever, biggest mistake of the athletics career.
id imagine you'd develop all the stamina you need for any particular event from practicing the event itself
yep.. he made me loose on my last season. even my lifts were bad that season
that sucks
i mean didnt usain bolt say he never ran anything over a mile when he was training
yep and he run 100-150-200
i only ran 60-100
whatever, just a tip if anyone interested :)
i hated sprinting lol, so much energy now i get to be a lazy lineman
i hate running in general tbh
dude linemans are scary! :D ahah I onlyrun away from them, so its something
i mean i run away from everyone but still
lol idk they never seemed scary to me
ahah maybe its because u are one of them ahha
but i loved playing running back cuz i like breaking tackles
haha im barely a linemen
i look more like a linebacker
i love to jump over them best feeling ever
lol
every fat person is in awe of people who can jump
it's like the one thing they wish they could do
thanks for the advice
it seems that stretching only makes my finger hurt more lol
Intensity > volume
^
wat isn't volume just the total of how much work you've done
like low intensity many reps = same volume as high intensity low reps
Yes and no
You’re technically doing the same amount of work but the way it affects your body is completely different
Imagine jogging 5 miles with breaks in between vs those same miles nonstop
When it comes to cardio, intensity and volume both have their place.
You can't get the same adaptations from HIIT as you can from steady state cardio and vice versa.
You'll never see a marathon runner winning a sprint, or vice versa.
And for optimum health (or sports where you're less specialized), reaching a balance is better.
not sure about that, because noone can talk about optimum health. It is saying optimum training program. It changes a lot from person to person, it changes about how you eat, how you sleep, how you like to lift, evey single thing possible.
Also for MDs, running is not even healthy, just tempo walking is the best you can do, so we generally cannot talk about optimum health, or program or training. We have to listen to the person
do we have any physios in here? if so; Would resting your forearm on the desk count as a contact pressure that could contribute to tendinopathy?
since a few days i have wrist pain in this area specially when im doing the 4th stretch from this routine
when i do the stretch it doesnt just hurt a little bur rly much actually
what are good indicators that I'm done with my set when I'm doing ab stuff
like russian twists or dragon flags
rn I just go till I collapse but idk if that's too much
focus less on fatiuge
and more on squeezing the muscles as hard as possible
check out athlean-x yt channel
ye ik
but like with abs there's no real indicator
like with weights I can clearly feel that my limbs don't want to do anymore
but with core I'm collapsed before I even feel tired
yes
No
My arm is in so much pain now. No more kovaaks for a few days
whenever i game for longer periods of time, i realize i start smelling bad fast and my skin starts getting oily faster, although i have naturally oily skin. i wear deodorant ofc but i get noticeably smellier after gaming for an hour or two. any suggestions?
i shower ofc
Was being a little sarcastic, but yeah good air ventilation does wonders
aight ill see
Hard to notice your room is gettin swampy if you sit in it for extended periods
well its kinda hard for me cause im situated in my downstairs living room
so its a huge open area but no fans or anything
i got prescribed adderall for my narcolepsy and i feel like my head is about to explode
im so fugging shaky right now wdid
I'm at the gym again
I feel so weak
and I look fat as fuck in the mirror
Even though I weigh less than before
Gotta go hard on training and eating again
kevin so lucky actually having open gyms
They opened this week
Against the governors order
But cops said they won't enforce it
I'm sore in muscles I forgot I had
Feels kinda good
You’re in Texas right Kevin?
I’m so jealous
I plan on working out again honestly it's been so long I know I'm gonna be sore af after so I'm not sure what kinda routine to make
GG @eternal dock, you just advanced to level 19 !
I mean being sore is a good thing, but you don’t have to go super hard in the gym it can just be a hobby
GG @dense furnace, you just advanced to level 15 !
after my 2 months away from real weight I'm just taking it easy for a week
I usually go heavy and run a strength routine but now I'm just doing sets of 8-12, sometimes more
just to get the feel for it again
Thankfully I’ve got a good setup in my garage. Gym are open in town but they are absolutely swarmed now
there's nothing better than an empty gym
^
Lol stop exaggerating Kevin
for real tho
I used to be able to hit 225 for 6-8 on seated OHP
today I struggled getting 8 with 155
so, according to yokai's tension guide, I should tense up when doing fast movements, but relax when doing continuously precise movements?
Kevin making himself look weaker than he is so all the new people at the gym don’t feel bad
What a guy
yup
tbh the only people I've seen so far
are old regulars
one dude looks bigger than before the lockdown
idk how
@violet swan I've not read that specific guide, probably best to ask @icy portal exactly what he means
A lot of people been grinding at home I just cba to do that shit
Not the same as the gym
I got no gyms close to me, so I do it at home
@icy portal should I be tensing during the whole clicking scenario
@violet swan no
Are warmer colours on your monitor really better for your eyes? If I use warmer colours, I'm getting some ghosting
f.lux works for me. I turn it off for games normally, unless it's late. I don't really notice any difference though (but it adds more input latency afaik so I just turn it off when it's not too necessary).
u can try tweaking monitor blue light settings for no input delay
Yeah I tried but it's too light compared f.lux.
Lol my garage gym is going commercial. Friends stopping by throughout the day to use it because our gyms are so crowded
Yeah it burned my dogs whiskers off when she walked too close
holy shit
poor doggie

Yeah luckily she was fine lol
Thats crazy
Well I have a question. I'm trying to sit straighter for both my posture and smoothness in aim, and if I sit at all 90 degree angles and arms even and all that shit, I can't extend my arm out very far on the pad. Is it "healthy" to have my arm extended out a bit? Also any recommendations on boosters for seats lulw I need to sit like an inch or two higher and my chair won't go up any more. @worthy cloud help plz
I don't sit directly 90 degree either
supposedly, as long as you aren't slouching, and your shoulder isn't pushed up
Yeah see my shoulder is pushed up a bit due to desk height
just a bit
so i need a booster for my chair. pillow too weird feeling
I have two chairs, one lower one higher
Tho, im trying to make my lower chair higher by replacing the gas cylinder
advanced shit
i was considering just getting a new chair
but there is nothing wrong with mine
so why replace
it's just brute force
bruh good luck even with a job that shits expensive af

the millisecond i click on herman miller site i am greeted wtih $2000 chair
very cool
@unreal citrus welcome to herman Miller.
I've also heard the OfficeMaster OM5 is a great one as well, and alot cheaper.
often times you can get them lightly used at good prices during office sales. i got mine that way for about 200 usd.
it's still expensive but worth the investment.
does it mean anything if your eyes feel tired when gaming?
@unreal citrus just be careful that you're not rounding over your shoulder or shrugging just one side
Maybe get a lower desk? 🤔
@mystic otter whats the cannon for
@summer crescent it’s a space heater
@mystic otter awesome gym dude
Thanks man. Has saved me a lot of headaches over the years
Just had my 4th real workout since early march
Whole body aches in a way I haven't felt in a long time
And I haven't even squatted or deadlifted yet

i think ive worked out for a total of 7 times in my life
i mean i started but i just have no motivation ig
i did it for a week
but then i got busy
and never went back
Yeah I’m just getting back into it too. Had the gym but my stores here were sold out of so much food so decided to just take some time off since I couldn’t get my usual meals in
ngl tho the one week i did workout i alr saw some gains 👀
my friend is a gym rat and he got me into it

Whole body aches in a way I haven't felt in a long time
@worthy cloud I feel you man
I was making serious gains and then the gyms all shut down lmao
corono is a bitchhh
cursed beer sickness

man it sucks
hurt my body, mind, and finances
and I don't even have it bad compared to many people
When playing senarios like medium strafes thin Invincible my shoulder has spasms evern though I'm not tencing
are you sitting upright? is your shoulder pushed up?
I'm sitting upright and my shoulder is in neutral position I guess
Not pushing up
@violet swan
Well, if it's not causing discomfort, I guess it's ok for now
Did I mention my whole shoulder is having a spasm?
well, if you are worried, that's a discomfort, so I suggest seeing a doctor @steel quest
usually if there's no pain, there's no dire
so it's most likely a living style problem you have to fix, see a doctor to find out the cause
ok maby after crona
So I had really bad sleepless night, should I take hot or cold shower to feel better and more energized?
Up to you, if you can then sure
I mean which one should i go for? I definietly wanna take a shower
But which one will be better, hot or cold?
Doesn't matter both have benefits
Prolly easier to go for warm shower, especially if you're not used to cold
Should find some stuff on it on google easily :x
Thank you kind man. U just saved my afternoon
Wim hoff + cold shower =more energy then taking coke

ive been starting to get aching pains in one of my keyboard fingers. it was my push to talk key and ive since changed to voice activation to rest the finger, so i dont use it much apart from crouch strafing and typing now. has anyone had any experience with finger pain? i really really dont want to get rsi or carpal tunnel or any like condition. will a period of rest work or should i try to do other things
Massage forearm see if it makes a difference if it's bad and doesn't get better don't hesitate to get it looked at
Also maybe a break
When I'm really focused and intense during my practice sessions, my elbow tends to ache a little and feel stiff. My elbow is hyperflexible or something, so it can bend farther then your average elbow, could this be something to do with it?
On the underside of your elbow theres like a bone that sticks out
Massage that
Your elbow is basically a joint that is effected by the muscles in your forearm and shoulder
So it's most likely tension in one of those two areas that can be fixed by streaching it out and massage
Unless it's making your ring and pinky finger numb or hurt then it could be cubital tunnel
Which also can be corrected by streaching
Would I just rub the bone that's sticking out?
I've noticed that the stiffness in my elbow is mainly caused when I'm doing tacking scenarios, and I'm holding left click extremely hard
Yes it's where alot of your forearm muscles connect so by massaging it your massaging multiple muscles the one on the underside of your elbow that is.
Don't hold your clicks hard work on relaxing more
Holding your clicks hard won't make you better.
My shoulder is like crunching or something when I track, but only/mainly while I hold leftclick any advice?
Is there a way to like prevent pain while playing for longer periods of time?
My arm goes sore after like an hour
Tension Headache Relief with Simple Stretches: http://www.AskDoctorJo.com Tension headaches are very common, and they can really shut you down. Stress is the number one cause of tension headaches. Use Doctor Jo's simple stretches and exercises to relax the muscles that are cau...
don't know if anyone needs this but in general for stretching your neck and shoulders this shit makes me feel like a million bucks
and gets rid of headaches
@fossil crest It's mostly technique
If you are new to aim training don't worry about it too much it's normal anyway
Take some time to be actively practicing the fact that you are not tensing your muscles, or applying unneeded pressure onto the mouse
The less pressure you apply to the mouse, the easier it is to control, the easier it is to be smooth, and the easier it is to be reactive
As well as keeping your body safe
yeah im having a really huge problem with being smooth so ill try the exercises out
thank you
@jade mortar god damn thanks for this video
I've had a headache for the past week and its just gone now
Ive never had a headache in my life
ivan how
God said nope
When I'm kovaaksing my eyes get super dry should I consider eye drops/ games grasses?
Drink a lot of water, tea and stuff
GG @worn sonnet, you just advanced to level 13 !
And blink more
Maybe use a blue-light reducer or sg like that (for example f.lux) or see if it's a built in option in your monitor, like mine
And if you wear glasses otherwise wear them while gaming as well
So imo you shouldn't consider them
Yeah I have blue light reducer
is it possible im getting arthritis?
since geting a new mouse my pinky hurts real bad in the joint
@steel quest Just buy some cheap eyedrops is the main thing imo, that's what helped me the most. Blue light glasses can help too but I definitely wouldn't suggest dropping a lot of money on meme gunnars or anything.
@snow ivy go see a doctor
@dull void cool thanks
@nimble palm people who arnt white
Jk
But your muscle is like a spring say so you coil it up then let it expand as quickly and as powerfully as possible
kinda white? Grey?
@snow ivy it could be your tensing too much and the mouse is too small for you

@nimble palm why do u want tips on jumping higher?
Guys. I have a problem. No matter which sens I learn to play, I feel like I'm not using the right sens (because a "pro" doesn't use it). I've been struggling to not worry about this, but it keeps dragging me down. How have you guys handled something like this? I need advice because this is making me unhappy and depressed.
I posted here because I feel like this qualifies as mental health.
there's no right sens, pros use what they feel familiar.
sens is irrelevant
youre doing poorly because youre hyperfixating on settings instead of recognizing the issues in your technique/gameplay
For example: in case you need help choosing one, I use 30cm/360 because it seems to be the middle ground between all games
yeah, basically stop putting your concern on it, change it every now and then, and you may or may not have a favorite in the future
so what i'm doing with experimenting and using different sensitivities is acceptable?
i thought i would have to lock into one and stay there
i just come from csgo where i feel like if i play high sens i'm doing something wrong
that's good, getting out of comfort zone means you are actually training
because i'm actually learning the mechanics i would assume?
yeah
idk why but I have huge right shoulder pain whenever im gaming recently even tho i always sit properly etc.. ive been sitting like this for months and i never had any issues until recently
neck/right shoulder
could be the way you sleep or weak muscles
Im on a diet right now thats the only thing thats like different in my current lifestyle rn
maybe my my muscles are like weaker because im on a high calorie deficit? idk tho
800 calorie a day gang
27 cm/360 fortnite
GG @calm relic, you just advanced to level 10 !
I played a lot Minecraft recently and thats where my shoulder/neck pain started
i thought hm maybe its just when im playing minecraft as dumb as it sounds
but when i played kovaaks today i got the same pain on the exact same areas
800 cals a day is a big oof from me, chief
unless you're trying to restrict your diet for weight loss, but even then, that's not enough
nah i’m just joking my calorie intake is all over the place
one day i will actually end up having like 800 or less calories
and another day easily 2000+
more like 3k
but hey fast metabolism feels good
1 meal a day gang

1 meal a day is bikini model territory
i mean if i wanted to...
Damn we gonna be seeing tensei as miss November on the calendar
Sparky really out here with future cover models and mr Olympia’s, we gifted in game and real life
how bad sugar is?
is this a trick question?
if you want a simple answer, processed sugar is not good. and its kind of a poison to your body.
if you want long anwer o my.. i dont have that long life
bad
@violet swan i just discover how bad sugar is
I'm a big coffee guy and i don't like black coffee so i might need something to replace sugar in the coffee
is that much a problem if my shoulder is almost at the same height as my desk?
@stable aspen a good subsitute is stevia
@violet swan ty
Hey everyone! I started drilling 1hr / day two weeks ago and am finding that my arm gets pretty sore by the end of the session - and even into the next day sometimes. Is this a normal thing to have to deal with? Should I push through until the muscles develop, or dial back the duration of the sessions a bit? Am I weird for having this problem?
@wheat thunder had a similar problem but mainly forearm cramps id take breaks during the session. Try playing in 15 minute intervals with 5 minute breaks between each
once i tried that i started noticing large improvements and that i nearly never got sore
Thank you for the tip @violet swan! I'll try that 🙂
yw lmk if it helps any!
does glasses effect aim?
hmm, I feel my glasses could be better adjusted, does it cause money to "readjust" them?
Most likely. Lambie
Advice on hand cramping around 3-4 minutes of playing a clicking scenario, I have majorly upped my sens recently and it seemed to help alot obviously but any other recommendations that might help it? My hand always tended to cramp when I play for short burst in kovaaks, also in late 2018 I had to stop playing bc my hand was really sore for like 3 weeks, just wanted to add that in there. Ik none yall are doctors but some advice is good, thanks in advance
you stretching your wrist? there's a guide for that at #resources
also, is your position good? Are you tensing up when playing
I think I'm tensing my grip sometimes, also thanks for the way to the guide. Also my position has been good for a long while now. I have been sitting straight with little to no arch on my back and all that stuff basically following a office chair sitting guide.
I'll try doing the wrist thingy, i'll let you know if it works out later this week. Thanks for the quick concise advice
is the mouse too small for u? what mouse u on
its been like that for almost any mouse I use, I actually originally had my hand extremely sore for a while like I said with an ec2-a. Right now I use a Razer viper ATM
I've used lots of mice, and honestly its been the same for all of them, not to say I got them for that issues i've had with my hand but I want to improve and play for a while on some scenarios its bothering me more on clicking stuff now.
GG @lapis elm, you just advanced to level 1 !
I might try the stretches out that might actually help alot
if you got any input on it i'd like to hear what you got to say 🙂
Is my aim supposed to be shaky after i do a workout and then play kovaaks?
maybe your hand is just weak from the workout
yeah i was thinking that but idk what to do about it
maybe separate the time between your workout and aim training
I workout when I wake up, and aim train before sleep
not much you can do about it tbh
but yeah it's normal
just the usual stretching, mobility, hydration
I have a question regarding my posture: I have rather long arms and so it happens that even when my chair is at maximum height my shoulder is higher than it would be in a rested position when I´m moving my mouse. I usually "fix" this by moving my elbow further away from my body and thus being able to lower my shoulder. However, I read on one of the available posture guides that this is bad. Can anyone explain me why exactly it is bad? I ordered an ergonomic pillow to sit on so I can further increase the height at which I´m sitting, as lowering the table height is not possible for me
if you aren't shrugging your shoulder or arching your back, it should be fine
in the sparky health and improvement doc it says in the morning to "take a cold or hot shower depending on the situation" what situations are better for each? or is it just a preference thing?
I'd say comfort over anything but you can experiment
Proper water intake, diet, and exercise will be more than enough
cold shower for more energy boosting id say, and warm shower for relaxation, after a workout for example
so if u take two showers, cold in the morning and warm in the evening
^
idk why recently i just keep getting waves of sickness when playing kovaaks, and not necessarily for long sessions either.
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 3 !
I can't sleep can someone help me ? xd
Just close your eyes
: (
GG @sonic hinge, you just advanced to level 1 !
And then @dense furnace ?
Whatchu mean wake up next day
s-healthroutines
Health improvement routines https://bit.ly/2KrQPWI
@sonic hinge there are a few tips for sleeping in the health routines
so if u take two showers, cold in the morning and warm in the evening
@zenith rapids who will actually take two showers a day?
I take two showers a day
Is it not bad for the skin?
no its not bad for the skin
and a lot of people shower twice
only bad for skin if you use super aggressive and harsh shampoo and or body wash
but you shouldnt even be using shampoo everyday
The more you know! Thanks
np
so I went to sleepyti.me and I found out that everyday, I wake up on my fifth sleep cycle and that happens everyday. It says there that "A good night's sleep consists of 5-6 complete sleep cycles.", but 5 complete sleep cycles means I'm only sleeping for 7 30 hours. While for adults it is okay, I'm a teenager and I read that teens should sleep for 8-10 hours a day. So, should I worry about this?
Yeah it's better for you to get 8-10
Is there like something I can do to make myself hungry
I'm exercising well and sleeping fine enough it's just a side effect of Adderall for my narcolepsy
if exercising isn't doing it for you then you might just have to force feed yourself
eventually your body will get used to that amount and of food and that'll be your new norm
can I force starve myself? Damn, Im fat
What dose sleepyti.me mean??
I went to the website but I don’t understand how it works
sleep cycle could be 90-120mins, different from people
bruh, we got the same weight

keep at it
I was 250lbs in 8th grade and im down to 150
just stay consistent you wont want to go back
I sleep for 4-6 hours a night from 12pm to 4-6pm
does losing weight affect performance or level of improvement?
In the grand scheme of things don't think it matters for aim or performance in-game
Indirectly it can be beneficial to be more healthy
But it's not really the reason why you'd want to lose weight
Also losing weight could also mean losing muscle
I'm assuming you mean losing fat
Losing fat to get a healthy fat % can be good for sports
im low body fat percentage so it was at the time losing the "quarantine fat" but also i maybe lost some muscle? im 5'6 131 pounds with probably 8% body fat I also strike a lot with my fists from boxing which has caused knuckle and wrist injuries before, my technique has gotten a lot better so i reduced injuries but pain can linger sometimes. considering that hand eye coordination is an innate ability where some individuals are more talented i understand i need to train to see how good i really am but im curious as too how much does losing weight and physical activity affect progression.
i guess maybe not much at all since im hitting PRs went from Bronze to Plat benchmarks in a month so im gonna keep working on smoothness
@glad sorrel if you dont work out, etc do nothing to burn fat and built muscle via sport that way, and like only dont eat enough or smth like that the body actually starts losing muscle mass before getting rid of fat
asfaik
Stiffnes in trapezius while playing
Any idea why this happens now?
I had no problem week ago
It could be too much sitting, weak muscles, bad posture or little exercise
most likely bad posture my chair is a little low and my trap starts fatiguing when playing for a long period of time without breaks
GG @lyric ocean, you just advanced to level 1 !
Stay safe aimers
omg what happened? too much flicking?
Played a lot in a cold enviroment. Withoug warming up i guess
is that surgery?
Lol no. Its just a wrist brace.

covid fingers? xD
@subtle flame You can visit a doctor for those red spots, they will most likely prescribe something to treat it
is it ok if my wrists crack when i do hand rotations from the wrist strech and posture guide
@high badge I'm not sure
@reef elbow Might be able to answer
always happens to me and its noy broken yet
idk if this is to do with posture but when I'm practicing on kovaaks I'm always slightly tilting my head to the left
Is it completely fine or something that needs to be fixed
Not any injuries but my left shoulder moves in a different way to my right
Although I still have full mobility
anyone elses vision like unfocus or zone out when doing certain scenes? i notice it mainly in thin gauntlet where i kinda unfocus while trying to track
I'll save you a life long amount of medical bills and confusion on this one.
Upper cervical chiropractor
Basically your head tilting to a side and uneven body posture is a sign your atlas is mis aligned and it doesn't re align itselr
Itself
Oh alright thanks that would explain a lot
And basically you'll continue to have issues with that shoulder and on the knee opposite from that shoulder
No problem I had the same issue and it took me 6 years to figure out but I waited until I basically couldn't function.
@zenith rapids yeah I sometimes have that
@eternal dock what did you do to solve it
Go to an upper cervical chiropractor
And get treatment.
Im about 3 months into treatment now.
@zenith rapids yeah I get this
advice for better sleep?
Consistency, eating and exercising enough, not using electronics/using a blue light filter before bed, melatonin supplements
Having a schedule too
any tips for better mental health? been feeling kind of "sad" and yeah, bringing my "want to improve" down
feeling shit and like i will never improve and never succeed in trying to go pro
exercise and some sunlight are big ones unironically.
counselor/therapist is really good too
and if you're really concerned see a psychiatrist
Consistency, eating and exercising enough, not using electronics/using a blue light filter before bed, melatonin supplements
———-
For melatonin supplements you want a low dosage. I read somewhere that if you take moderate or high dosages you will make less melatonin and your sleep will be worse long-term.
when aiming should you hold your mouse as light as possible, i like to have a little tension in my wrist because it helps me aim better
and press down on my mouse
I think having some tension is fine. Feels like I can be more reactive that way
@winged marten maybe weird advice but fap less
^
theres little things we do to avoid a deeper issue. Porn, alcohol, food, drugs when you realize you have bad habits and tackle them directly you start removing things that are limiting your progression. We face doubt every day dont avoid it, face it.
GG @glad sorrel, you just advanced to level 4 !
i always use blue light filter when i game should i disable it
sparky is on the nofap train huh
Can't fap if you're aiming
Nofap is the dumbest thing ever invented
nah man it lowkey helps
nah i got gm only after i fapped

nah i got gm only after i fapped
@wild grove god advice
Also your erection gets smaller if you don’t use it
Also imagine hooking up with a chick after not masturbating for a month
Imagine hooking up with a chick
Imagine chicks actually considering me
Ive had shoulder issues for 6 years and, i know this is related but when I am basically my chest and bicep get extremely tense and it causes a few other issues. Any suggestions to getting that to relax more? Or breaking a habit where you tense up instantly as soon as you start training
what's that
big earbud
It’s a massager
@eternal dock can you tell me more about head tilt bcs my head tilts to the right and my posture is fucked, when standing totally relaxed my;
-right hip, shoulder nd leg are forward
-my belly button is facing 10 when I stand
-severe apt too
Is this scoliosis? My muscles or something around hip feel tight too like badly. I can stand in right posture but I have to literally force myself nd just feel tightness everywhere
I feel like this affects my gameplay as it's hard to stay relaxed when I'm in this much discomfort
Go to an upper cervifal chiropractor this is basically what's happening
Your atlas the bone under your skull is misaligned which causes the entire spine to compensate to balance the skull. So you get alot of issues throughout the body.
It's a common thing and easily corrected through an upper cervical chiropractor
How long of a break should i take if my arm starts to become sore?
Ive realised that my aim cannot be smooth since my arm is sore from possibly overtraining
ah if it is really an overtraining you should take off couple of days, but not completely, just use it a little a little everyday, then increase how much you use it incrementally
first day, do not play, second day play like 15-20 mins.. and something like that,
btw this is not arm specific, it is valid for all kinds of muscles, if they are really overtrained, you have to make them get used to that
and you just cannot get up and run marathon, you have to increase the distance slowly, same thing
@fossil crest train the muscles in your arm and wrist three to five times a week (around twenty minutes) and dont aim train more than sixty to ninety minutes
if you dont have a strong body and click away all day you will suffer the consequenses in the future
yeah i have like 62 hours in the past 2 weeks so ive probably overdone it
if it is intense, it might be too much i dont know, and no one can know. kjust slow things a bit down, it will solve, also eat enough sleep enough drink couple of litres of water everyday
its actually that easy :) gl mate
should my fingers feel sore using fingertip
after playing for awhile
my arm wasn't like that when I was using palm
Yeah ive felt that aswell using ftip..but thats after a long while
Btw this pain is not a bad thing. Almost all people stop exercising when they have a pain. But no, it is a kond of bodys way of saying something is different. For example after a long time doing exercise your muscles will feel pain because body says this is different and it is scared. But there is no hard pushing it gradually.
It happened to me deadlifting. I had a long break then i tried the deadlift i got pain for like a month. But pushed more and more, now it is stronger than ever.
So when you feel pain, understand why it is happening and act accordingly. But stoping all together is rarely the real solution.
Btw of coursei am not talkingabout injuries but even for injuries stopping everything is never recommended. You should still do something accordingly.
which ms time is at lease good?
thx
GG @sonic hinge, you just advanced to level 2 !

It's been almost a week that my pinky tendine hurts even when I curl it. I think that the problem could be my mouse grip, that's a claw with all fingers curled, however I always gripped the same way so I don't get why now I'm having this issue and how could I fix it
stretch and train your fingers, and don't play as much as you do
issues often surface much later. Just because it always has felt good does not mean it was right. Sitting incorrectly feels good but hurts you long-term
I don't play a lot, I'd say like 2-3h. Anyway what are good fingers exercises to help me out?
the sparky resource ones?
theres stretches for after playing as well
@icy portal climbing is good exercise for your finger, wrist and arm
@violet swan strength in fingers and grip
of some climbers is just nuts
like i cant do a pullup with only my fingers
with practice most people would be able to
well yes
but most ppl dont practice it
and climbing does it very well
to me its impressive
yes
with practice most people would be able to
@violet swan could say that about any skill rly
yes yokai
Never done it
try
although you cant rly "strengthen" your fingers
as they dont cotain muscles
its just tendons
Couldn't it be that maybe mouse is causing me this
But idk I was using xm1 before this happened like 1 month or so
you got big hands?
mouse not perfectly fitting you + grip style, tensing etc
can all be causes
I don't play a lot, I'd say like 2-3h. Anyway what are good fingers exercises to help me out?
@icy portal thats definitely enough time to fuck smth up
Yeah
It's only the pinky while I curl every finger so pretty weird
Tbh when I hold mouse I don't really feel it
Only sore fingers because I claw
When I move it I feel the pain on the tendon
Well yes, you dont feel it if you fingers are in a relatively static position
i also dont feel muscle soreness when im sitting still after working out f. e.
doesnt mean it isnt there
Does anyone have recommendations for a good office chair? I have terrible lowerback pain and I'd like a tall-back chair with back support. Budget is like, $100 atm. Otherwise I'd be onboard that Eurotech/Aeron level.
im a few weeks in to ftip
I still feel a little bit of discomfort
after playing for awhile
I didn't really get that with palm at all
Is it okay to do the wrist stretches of Kastor at the beginning of the day and when I'm going to sleep
Or only right before and after when I'm going to play KovaaK?
Always good to stretch
@analog jolt I think it’s probably best to makeshift a more comfortable chair and save money to get a better chair because I can’t think of any decent chair with all you’re asking for under 100$
@wispy galleon any ideas till I can buy a used steelcase leap, or ikea markus?
mainly need to add back support and raise my height
What I did before I got a chair was just sit in a pillow and put a pillow behind me and it worked well enough
I just know buying a cheap chair and it being marginally better will make you regret not waiting
Like I regret buying a gaming chair so much I could’ve got a used steel case
Yup, I originally owned a DXRacer and it was worse than a dinner table chair for me.
I’m probably going to get a used Herman Miller cause my chair still messes up my neck even tho it’s much better on my back
YUP I thought of going back to a dinner table chair
If I set secret labs chair straight up it angles my neck forward which blows
Mines alright with the pillow off
Probably gonna try a herman miller next time though
should i take breaks between sessions (to help against fatigue and injury)? if so, how long and how much for max benefit?
i noticed that my hand shakes/twitches when i do tracking in aimtrainers and it happens quite often. Is it bad? and what is caussing it??
🍵 Smoothness routine
▫️ change your fov to 80 overwatch
▫️ increase your sensitivity by 10-20%
▫️ play precision / smoothness scenarios
▫️ thin gauntlet, pasu track invincible, popcorn goated tracking invincible, bounce 180 tracking invincible always bounce
▫️ we recommend to play it for 20-30 minutes
How long have you been playing tracking scenarios?
Long(ish) question. I have been trying out ways to reduce my chances of developing Carpal Tunnel, since I want to not have these problems later in life (I'm 18, and have always had my wrist on the mousepad bent at a angle). My question is what are the best ways to hold a mouse, because I have been trying to not rest my arm on the mousepad (letting it "float" over the pad), but my accuracy in game has plummeted and my arm (and shoulder) feel quite weird and "tired" after playing for a hour. Am I doing something wrong here, or do I just need to develop the shoulder strength to play like this? If needed, I can send pictures to show what I mean.
@mellow epoch this is a bit sad but the most recommended holding position is vertical, look for vertical mouse. Other than that make your hand rest a bit between sessions. and do not put your elbow on armrest or something lihe that.
and some vitamin B if you dont get enough
@violet swan so my elbow should not be planted in any way on my desk.
It can be
But some movement will be harder
So it's not recommended but it's not unhealthy to do
Yes as yokai said. Just i had some personal experiences abour it; i have a golfers elbow problem. Whenever i put my elbow on anywhere in time i feel the numbness. Carpel and ulnar nerve both have same kind of pattern. Its just better safe than sorry.
I've been reading a bit about ergonomics and it seems like people can't agree on this matter. if you rest your arms on your desk it reduces the strain on your shoulders and neck, but you put pressure on the tendons in your forearm/elbow etc. I expect the best middle ground is some amount of your forearm on the desk but not your elbows, so that you aren't putting pressure onto the ulnar nerve with your elbow, but also making sure you don't have any sharp desk edges digging into your forearm. you'd want the pressure to be spread out.
@jolly kiln makes sens. I use a glorious 3xl pad, so it's a cushioned edge anyway
been noticing some very annoying shoulder blade pain recently
probably from barely playing kovaaks at all for a couple weeks and now playing 2+ hours per day
man i dont wanna take another break
already been off for too long
take more breaks
You should ease into it gradually
Rather than jumping from 10-20 mins to 2+ hours in a day, maybe spread that shift over a week, maybe 2 weeks.
Your shoulder will take time to get used to the rigor of kovaaks, but don’t overdo it
Currently recovering from RSI
I'd gauge myself about 90% recovered
Played a few runs of certain tasks and broke pbs
But it's frustrating when my reading skills can no longer be matched by my mechanics
As I simply can't move my mouse in the way that I'd like to at times
GG @keen aurora, you just advanced to level 4 !
@wanton inlet Just a couple of days maybe 3 hours in total
Yeah
It’s natural when you start out
You’re gonna have jittery and shaky tracking
@analog jolt hey, I also have back pain and rancid posture I assume from gaming all these years and now it's catching up to me so I was looking into a chair myself....
Gaming chairs are a meme, look into something like Autonomous ErgoChair 2
Idk if you can get in EU
But there are similar ones about
Also idk how ppl game without arm shoulder pain
should be less tense when aiming
desk and chair height is also improtant
shoulder should be hanged down and not shrugging
how many meals a day is healthiest and do meals a day impact sleep cycles ?
3?
5 smaller meals a day maximizes protein synthesis
smaller in size or calories ?
both?
calories total should be the same
tho only do that if you are serious
what could end up is you eating five meals that are all too much
5 meals that equate to the same amount of macros will be better for muscle growth than if you ate the same amount of macros in 3 meals
yeah, but self-control is a thing to consider as well
might end up eating 5 big meals instead of the supposed 5 smol meals
Personally recommend eating snacks between the 3 meals instead
much easier to maintain, and more convenient as well, as you can put the snacks in your bag
I think i have an imbalanced hip causing one of my legs to be shorter than the other, my left hurts often and cracks a lot and i notice a difference in how i land on each foot, what can I do?
Im working on losing weight and im 15 pounds to my goal weight
any particular stretches
if youre reading this later on and have something pls dm me
I think shorter legs and that stuff can be solved by a chiropractic professional
@grand sundial
No guarantee btw
Maybe there's one in your city
yeah theres a chiropractor and im willing to spend money but i dont think its open in quarintine
im gonna be hurting until then
@jolly kiln exactly, i am only following what my doctor says
i make my own mushroom melts every day with potbelly ingredients with lots of hummus which are like 400 calories and drink lots of water
is that healthy
maybe undereating ?
i am very skinny
Never hurts to add more protein
Eat until youre satisfied, especially if youre very skinny
unless it's fried fish
I'm not so sure if this falls under the mental health category, but if I'm seriously feeling unmotivated to do my routine, should I just not do it? I feel like if I'm forcing myself to do it then I won't really get better.
@violet swan maybe take a break from gaming for a bit? might help you out. routines can be boring.
Do you guys plant your wrist when tracking?
I've read that it can cause wrist problems but I saw another post that advocated it
@wind grail I play on 33cm/360 and if I plant my wrist when I track I don't have a large enough range of motion. Not so sure if this helps.
is there any benefits to taking a shower mid game session? Would it reset mental etc?
I shower between rounds
@pine widget if it helps you relax it might help with mental state
Any tips on reducing panicking feel when playing cashcup to W key
Like my whole body just goes off and panicky
I can concentrate properly then
This is a short grounding exercise that can help bring a state of calm when feeling stressed or anxious
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ao4xdDK9iE
A simple grounding exercise for managing anxiety and triggering the parasympathetic response. This simple activity can help you feel calm by giving you a practical way to use your 5 senses to remind your brain that you are actually safe.
Grounding skills are more effective th...
@violet swan that video is very helpful, but I lot of people including myself meditate before stressful events, there are many techniques that can be found online and you only have to do it for like 5-10min
You also tend to panic less when you're in the flow state, which meditation helps with a lot
You're focusing strictly on the activity without any self-judgement or evaluation while playing
^^ thats true, if you only think about the game at hand you will be much less stressed, don't think ab your phone or anything else. Turn your phone over and don't look at it etc
Yeah, I choke much less often if I concentrate entirely on the game. It still happens sometimes, but I have much better control over it
idk i feel like when i try to focus more on the game, i start to tense and my breathing gets more erractic, which leads to my aim being shakier and worse
ive always had a problem with tensing and nervousness in games
even in simple things like a 1v1
Best advice I can give is just be aware when it happens. The more you put yourself in those situations, the easier it becomes
@zenith rapids beckz is totally right, the more you're in those situations, the easier it becomes to control yourself, next time you're aware of it, try to focus your breathing
aight ill try and keep that in mind. thanks y’all
i been stretching more before my workouts but i still need to make that an automatic habit
yeah stretching regularly is very good for your overall performance
You should stretch AFTER your workouts not before
GG @thin cobalt, you just advanced to level 4 !
Or you should at least do 5-10 min of easy cardio before you stretch
someone has a good video on how to stretch the hand / fingers, i'm dumb and don't understand the pdf
bicep tingling and itching when playing (right arm) any tips?
Should I put my alarm near or fsr from me
I decided to make an update video on my 30 day creatine progression so far since a lot of people were requesting it. In addition, there were more questions I needed to answer that I got in the first video. So here is what creatine has done for me in 100 days of taking it.

Is it bad if while playing 80fov and like 12cm I feel like sick but in 103 fov 25cm I feel great?
Probably not used to the the motion or something like maybe your eyes aren’t keeping up with the target and it’s disorienting you?
I only get that feeling if I go 90fov or lower in a game like apex with a lot of movement
Idk it’s the smoothness routine like I finish it every time but just didn’t know whether or not something was wrong
You’re doubling your speed so that might throw you off idk I can go 35/30-10 and I don’t feel much of a difference
I think the fov just kills me though but idk
I spend the first 4 hours of my day working out and playing soccer. When I come home I feel tired even after drinking tea and stretching. I suck at video games after this. Is there anything I can do to recover quick and play well in game?
For me personally after I shower eat and relax for an hour ish after working out I’m fine unless my arms are insanely tired
@robust pike
Do you workout your arms or shoulders often and that’s why?
@cinder birch yeah thats normal, low FOV is a common source of motion sickness
How should I position my hand and arm for optimum performance and comfort?
@wispy galleon I do them ever 2 days and legs the opposite
Do you think a nap could help?
I already get 9 hours of sleep but it may be beneficial
*8
Have you been doing this for a long period of time? I assume so if it’s 4 hrs a day. Idk I can run 4-10miles and eat take a shower take a 1hr nap and be fine. So that’s something that might help if you can work it into your schedule
@robust pike
Only time anything physical effects my aim is right after workouts and strained muscles in arm/wrist/shoulder
interesting the nap sounds like a good idea
If you feel it could be helpful maybe try rolling a lacrosse ball on your forearm to stretch it along with wrist stretches
I only did 2 hours throughout the school year so that could be why
I probably should've done that lol
Ik when I go for long runs I die like I just got back into running after a 2 month break 2 weeks ago and hitting 10miles definitely makes me feel slow until I nap or meditate for a while
Just a few min like 5-10 to kinda clear my mind and lower my heart rate a lot
intresting
I’m a very antsy person im 95% sure im adhd so it helps me be a bit more focused
Yeah I’m finally going to get meds for it in 2 weeks after my psychiatrist finally swaps my med from a hybrid to 2 separate ones
It doesn’t affect my gaming just school and other stuff
They helped me a little in school but made me shaky
I’ve tried different adhd medications recreationally to see if it helped and they do nothing for me that’s kinda when I realized I need them
I don’t really get shaky unless I take a high dose
hmm
I think it’s just person dependent I had a friend that would be super shaky but she was smol
yea
that probably has to do with it
I mainly don't use them because they are not allowed in professional stuffs
so it just feels weird using them when I can keep up with others
usually
I see
keto
GG @raven cedar, you just advanced to level 4 !
Any good green tea with low or no sugar should be good
Add a little honey on your own
Does "negligible" count
Probably
.-.
Just read the ingredients
Should be good
Such confidence
The only thing to really watch out for as far as I know is sugar content

Some tea also has added caffeine
Might make you jittery
Depending on your tolerance
Yessiree
Anyone have advice on fixing your sleep schedule? Been 15 years of never maintaining a morning wakeup schedule for more than a week. Supplements? Idk.
@analog jolt I just took really strong sleep pills like melatonin every night until my body got used to it. You can progressively roll back on the strength of the melatonin as your sleep schedule improves.
Everytime I stretch my forearms my wrist starts to ache and hurt a bit, I'm not so sure if it's because I took a 4 day break, but I everytime I stretch, it stays sore.
Is it just a good idea to stop aim training if I feel like I'm feeling wrist pain?
I play through tired neck and wrist pains no Fs given 😂 But it's bad IMO.
I play 10+ hrs a day. Is it bad? Should I reduce it?
10+ hrs a day is fine just take breaks
Like just take a break ever 15 min to stand and stretch real quick
I played 11 hrs today and 12 hrs yesterday
I sit on my computer for about that long too
played 11 hrs of kovaaks?
I see okay I do steetch sometimes since I get rly worn out and my neck starts to become rly tired
played 11 hrs of kovaaks? :GWlulurdTomStare:
@violet swan just 4 hrs at most
4 hrs at most is still a little bit too much
Most people recommend no more than 2-3 hours
You don't get that many benefits from going past 2-3 hours
Oh is it bad? I mean I dont thinm of it as a task after my routine XD
It's not bad
but you just don't improve as much
After my routine I play close fast strafes because it's fun
Oh ok
Thats just a fun thing then oh well
I see so just routine then rest
Routine rest, stretch
After 9+ hrs my aim begins to degrade I dont hit my shots anymore
it could be because you're tired
or you just need to stretch more and move around more
During long sessions I'll just take a quick 5 min walk outside and I feel much better after that
Also make sure to drink water frequently
Oh ye I'll try that too.
thanks
@analog jolt set one alarm and wake up + get up when it goes off. go to bed when you're tired.
the first few nights will be rough because you probably won't be tired until late so you'll get less sleep but you'll be tired earlier for the next couple of days.
avoid screens for an hour or two before going to sleep, read a book or find a podcast or something to listen to.
if you're getting up a consistent time each day but it's late then you can try and set an alarm that's 30 mins earlier and move it back each day or two until you're back to where you want to be.
@violet swan I should try that
@jolly kiln yeah so alarms don't wake me up at all. Funny story but I've actually slept through a SWAT raid before, I'm a nutty heavy sleeper. Half the reason I have issues w/ this.
is it a bad if my shoulder gets sore after doing aim training for 1hour+
GG @ebon epoch, you just advanced to level 7 !
@ebon epoch is it just muscle soreness? If so you might just be dehydrated, or not stretching properly. If you've tried both of those things then try doing some research on your own
yea muscles, kk
depends on what kind of stuff you're doing
some scenarios are more physically draining
How old are you guys ? As I'm getting older my posture has become horrible nd just constant pain after few mins use of of
Pc
I've got all the postural problems you can imagine
Wish I sat properly when you instead at very edge of seat hunched over
No back support
the last 3 days i have been having some shoulder pain should i take a break?
If it hurts while playing then yes
Take a break
Stretch your shoulder throughout the day
@halcyon nest 22, I sit straight and I also sit more towards the edge of my seat
Its a good idea to be constantly thinking about your posture especially if you want to fix it.
Not sure if you have any health issues that make it difficult
But one thing that helped me was trying to always remember that everything should be in a straight line, meaning, your shoulders should not be more forward than your knees (while standing) and vice versa
hey guys how come somedays i have a lot of energy, and other days I'm not focused and less energy, what could it be? I have a good sleep schedule but idk.
i just realized i played kovaaks 5 hours today, should i play less? my hand is starting to hurt
@halcyon nest 14 and my posture looks like the arc on a fucking rollercoaster
@sour valley 5 hours a day is a bit excessive. Once you've trained for more than 2-3 hours the amount of gains are marginal. Training less helps prevent burnout as well as pain. If your hand still hurts tomorrow take it easy, stretch, and rest. Then you can resume training. It's better to be safe than sorry
@sour valley quality over quantity
if you have 5 really good hours of practice just take breaks in between or shorten it
hi
@eternal dock I'm 26 don't feel too old

lol at least you're still in your 20s
when you hit 30 is a bigger milestone, then 40, lol
@oak orbit my pelvis is tilted forward as fuck it's causing me all sorts of pain
Tilted forward nd right side also rotates forward when I stand relaxed
Terrible
research exercises and stretches for anterior pelvic tilt
it's not too hard to deal with generally
Have problem with sleep i woke up at 9 and my parents wake at 7 and allways wake up me at 7 because they are loud what need to do ?
@silent osprey I have been for very long but honestly never dedicated...seems like I have all the postural issues atm my body is totally misaligned
@violet swan try sleeping earlier
In 1 week schol end and want to have god schedule for dont being tired 7pm bc at this tim is always turnaments
Whenever I am doing aim training scenarios i get pain in my forearm. It is like a tight pressure/cramping pain. I have to tell myself to relax constantly. I don't know why my arm is tensing up or how to control it from happening. the pain affects my aim and is uncomfortable.
@violet swan my hand doesnt hurt anymore lol
@violet swan do stretches and incorporate some physical activity into your life
my posture is so inconsistent and i dont know how to sit/ position my kb. When my keyboard is horizontal/ slightly titled it hurts my left shoulder and forearm. But if I play vertical my arm is good but my back is bent whiich results in more back pain later
Routines: https://bit.ly/33DQKbo
guys do you think a mesh office chair around £130-180 will be comfy?
try it in a local store
hmmm idk read reviews
My shoulder is doing a crunching "sound", you cant hear it I think, I only feel it. I only have it while aimtraining and I'm scared HELP
thats not good
