That means since normally most basement sites have 2 important hatches, you could impact trick / Kaid trick the Hibana's twice, leaving her with only enough charges to get one hatch. Now, she can still get both hatches, making one-person impact tricking / Kaid tricking useless. Hatches would be uncontested. That now requires 2 op's worth of utility to contest 1 op's worth of Hibanas.

Well, first of all focusing on the improvement is much better than focusing on your rank(and VODs are the best thing for seeing what you should improve upon)
Being positive, calling stuff(even towards toxic teammates) does help
Playing obj, playing safe does help
Improving does help
How to improve: focus on certain aspects: Movement, crosshair positioning, character positioning(micro- and macro- positioning), recoil control (you can both just dedicate a week or two to 1 of those in ranked, or dedicate a couple of thunts to each every day or a ranked game or two)
Aim/mouse control does help, especially if you already have pretty decent movement
Gamesense does help(watching VODs and analyzing VODs helps)
And yes, posting a VOD or two of either your average or a bad game here is good
because there are people like me, who understand this game to some degree, there're a lot of people who can help you with mechanics(much more than I can) and there are people who can do both
and by collecting multiple opinions you get A LOT better since you get different points of view
but basically I just suggest always playing to improve, being positive
and you'll rank up eventually

The best way to learn is comp. Both playing it, watching and analysing your own VODS and PL vods. If you want to see good individual mechanics my top 5 are Muzi, Beaulo, Vladr, Kanzen, Alem4o in no particular order
In terms of PL vods, one of the best things IMO is analysing rounds, either how a strategic team approaches a map/a bombsite or how certain players do what they are best at(shaiiko - murderig people, brid/pengu - playing smoke etc)
But again, playing should be the majority of your improvement time
