FX Zero is on the upper end of control pads, yes. I wish they'd make more, experiment with some even slower to have a full range of mousepad speeds, since their quality is so good.
The Hien is the same speed (pretty much) as the AMP500 and the Hayate. I own both. They are not optimal speeds for click timing games. Very usable, but fast.

Also, by "optimal" mousepads, mouse weights, sensitivities, etc. I'm always factoring the only thing that matters which is consistency. So, yes a fast pad is very usable for Siege for instance (and I had a lot of fun playing Siege on a Shidenkai for 7 months) but the sturdy grip of a control pad will give your 'flicks' much more forgiveness thus making you more consistent in stopping in the proper spot on your pad.

@astral dagger I always have used an 1.0 Xfactor, yes. And your ADS sensitivity does affect your Xfactor, but to a bizarre degree. 1 ADS is somewhere around ~30% speed, while 2 is around ~60%, and 3 is around ~75% (last time I checked, I mean... point is: they're weird).
So just use 83 ADS (or any high ADS) to where it won't make any difference.

Also, yes. I didn't answer but 1.0 Xfactor is slightly faster than your normal 83 ADS. Since perfect 1:1 would actually be 83.3 ADS, but that's not possible so your ADS is actually a percent or two slower cm than your hip. Xfactor alleviates this.

@vivid jolt little late, but if the code they released along with the FOV/sensitivty blogpost years ago is the literal way the game calculates sensitivity then for acog, 1 ADS should be 35%, 2 ADS 70%, and 3 ADS 100% which is close to what you found out, but I wouldn't be surprised if they simplified it for the post and therefore you estimates are probably nicer

Sure, it was a miss. But the fact that he re-adjusted accurately that fast to where you wouldn't even see it unless I freeze-framed it is a testament to ridiculous reflexes.

The only advantage of higher fov is that you can see more (and enemies move slower, but that doesnt really matter in siege) and on lower fov you are at an advantage in pretty much every gunfight regardless of holo or acog compared to if you were on 169, in comp higher fov doesnt matter bc you already know where your opponents are 95% of the time so you want every slight advantage in a gunfight and i feel like the game is more mechanically demanding on 169/1610 and a lot of bad players crutch 43 84 or even more stretched
just feel like the mechanical skill gap would increase and people would be punished even a little bit more for having worse aim

@astral dagger "Muscle memory" doesn't work like that. You can't "forget" how to aim. Your muscles literally don't have memory, so training is nothing but physically building up the muscle group and growing the myelin sheath around your nervous systems. Playing on a different sensitivity will just mean you have to adjust-- you don't lose anything. It's the exact same reason why you never forget how to ride a bike or how to write.
Obviously, the more difference in sensitivity, the more of a different muscle group it will use, and the more of an adjustment you cognitively (mentally) need to learn to acclimate to.

Learning a new sens takes a day or two to get 80-90% of it down with a bit of practice. It's that last 10% of perfection that takes significant time. Being able to consistently snap to a small target without even thinking about it (esp. under pressure) is a level of subconscious aiming that exemplifies some mastery of a setting.
Weeks/months.

Muscle memory for aiming is a fad. A player with good mouse control will be able to change their sensitivity and mouse without any significant problems, so long as they don't go into extremes. There can be a noticeable difference, but that's not related to memory, but more related to comfort and preference.

The most volume of players competing in any Esport game by far, for the least amount of LAN tourneys and events of any Esport game by far. Devs have stated comp is not a priority. Meta shifts every two weeks. Legal aimbots from crossplay. No custom settings.
