Skull Merchant was effectively killswitched. I'd choose Twins just because they're so rare. Make the survivors a bit happier that they got lucky. I remember genuinely thanking a killer for Mori'ing me in his William Afton legendary because getting that unique variant with the yelling was so cool :D

being efficient on gens is the most important, he is very strong and if the player is good the chase times will be quite short
try to get him to use a lot of rush and force him to break a pallet with his power at the end, this will make his recharge time longer
count his rushes as each rush adds 2 seconds to his power cooldown, so if he bumps 3 times and hits you, you have 6 seconds to get to something loopable

Well in terms of addons I would always recommend crow and rat for the speed, they are the best and don't make him completely braindead like his iri addons do
Aura perks are good as when you wanna improve spending as much time in chase as possible is the key
I would just be careful when using Brutal as it enables an extremely braindead playstyle and if you ever play without it, it will be very very different as you cannot just instabreak every pallet and get a free kill

Adding onto this, if you want to get good at chases on blight just run quad aura, or like triple aura + one slowdown
Something like lethal + bbq + nowhere to hide will get you in chases 24/7 which is the best way to get good

Makes him unplayable but it's very funny

also hes notorious for holding small 3 gens on release for ages and felt awful to try to deal with his stalling but not as much anymore

Flashlights can be helpful for messing with the killer (or some killers have flashlight interactions, like Nemesis zombie blinds) but other than that, very easy to counter and usually promotes the survivors to hide around for saves instead of doing an objective

According to the wiki, if you use Plot Twist to recover, it uses up Unbreakable. So it's not advised to run the two together. If you use Unbreakable first, you also lose one instance of Plot Twist.

you honestly dont need perks to get away when you have more game sense and awareness of the killers position. i run open handed + kindred + bond + windows and do just fine. (obviously chase perks are extremely good though, any perk that makes distance is powerful)

open handed also boosts windows range so you can see pallets and vaults from even further away which helps plan where to go

my issue with chase perks are they make playing awkward in my opinion. for example the killer might chase me to a tile where i can loop perkless for 30 seconds before leaving the tile, but it requires me to fast fall during the loop. with lithe it ends up kinda getting wasted.

otz considers the perk insanely good but you have to know how to use it. you want to end your chases at the bottom of basement and either the killer hooks and u get free deli, or they try to carry you out and you wriggle off unless they have carry perks.

also 20 seconds of aura reading on unhook is insane, and usually basement hooks are game ending for survivors and this perks help circumvent that

unless im mistaken basement is guaranteed in either shack or main. so when using wicked u want to check one of these areas near the start so u know the spawn location of basement. then prerun from the killer to a decent loop, run that loop for a bit and then run him towards basement, loop near basement and when u cant loop more run into the very bottom of basement and get in the furthest locker

i think the one exception is the alien map cus i dont think it has a shack? i think that maps version of shack is the broken down ship in the corner of the map

if they have anti-tunnel perks you could be doing a pretty much guaranteed 1 min chase which is more time for survivors.

it'd take you at least 90 seconds to punish the wicked unhook and thats 3 gens if the other survivors stick to their separate gens

wicked happens and depending on where you are it might take you ~10 seconds to get back to the person unhooking themselves. they might loop you for 30 seconds and you hit their OTR, then another 10 seconds you might catch up and down and pick up. then it could be DS and u lose 4 seconds and have to catch up again. hell they could even have dead hard afterwards and stall for another 30 seconds in chase. then u down and have to rehook.

you are killer, you are meant to win chases. the survivors job is to last as long as possible in chase and buy as much team for their team as possible. wicked means they dont need to take a survivor off gens to go for the unhook and most likely trade in basement cus its hard to unhookf rom basement.

honestly, I am not saying you are bad, but you are going against lower mmr survivors who either dont effectively use these perks or dont effectively buy time during loops. but you have to understand how powerful these perks are in the hands of survivors who are capable of using them effectively.

ive had the same experience as you, someone unhooks with wicked and i just go insta down them again and rehook. but its only because they didnt bring anti-tunnel or arent great at looping and get caught fast. but you cant judge the effectiveness of a perk or playstyle based on your own anecdotal evidence of what you see in your matches unless you play hundreds and hundreds of games at above average to high mmr

ive played probs 40 matches of vecna and 4kd most and 3kd the other, mmr just takes quite a while to climb up to where survivors start getting extremely proficient in chase

honestly idk, ive played wraith a lot but no perks feel mandatory on him. I always run STBFL, I run 60% shadow dance and 9% haste whilst cloaked.

everything else i just swap between random stuff based on how im feeling, sometimes devour hope + undying.

if you just want good perks then go slowdown, but if you dont want to use slowdown perks then just use whatever you cant really go wrong with him

I would get rid of Inner Healing and Fixated, both are decent but they waste more time than they help. Botany instead of Inner Healing with a medkit will do just fine, and Maybe Decisive for anti tunnel instead of Fixated

boosts aura reading by 16m, so it doubles kindred and heavily boosts bond and makes windows more effective. it also boosts all teammates aura reading ranges so its a team wide perk just like kindred. and your teammates benefit from the boosted kindred.

@onyx wind more to see the 3 closest gens, which are the most important gets to get done early so you dont put yourself in an awkward 3 gen late game. but 6% faster gen progress is also very nice

its a very selfless perk combo using open handed + kindred, but yeah i think its insanely powerful for solo queue.
id personally drop resilience for bond because boosted bond is so insane, and I think windows is more valuable than sprint burst in solo queue but its up to you

best part of resilience is faster vaults when injured, but unless you are very experienced with how tight you can loop its less useful and as a newer player you probably shouldnt stay injured

if you arent good at survivor id definitely say windows is mandatory then. when you see the killer in the distance start moving to a solid tile nearby. windows gets boosted from bond so it also helps find other nearby tiles u can loop around

yeah I really dont rate exhaustion perks on people not very experienced. you just end up wasting it most of the time or using it incorrectly

any means necessary is more of a meme tier perk. not only does windows do the job of any means necessary better because it shows used pallets that were broken (afaik any means doesnt show that) but it also helps inexperienced players learn pallet spawns more easily so they can transition to not using it in the future.

plus some tiles have alternate pallet spawns and it takes a lot of experience to get used to which map layout results in what pallet spawns

You are in the long run, if you cant loop without windows, then that is crippling, obviously some people are good enough without it, but it becomes a problem if you dont have it or are affected by blindness

any means cant really pick up during chases only out of them, and windows doesnt need to show broken pallets because you just see the absence of a pallet so you know its not there.

if the pallet is upright its good to go, if its down you can still vault it, if its not there at all it was obviously broken

I was done with the conversation but now that its not just me and 1 other guy I would like to add 1 more thing, the perk is being argued on whether its valuable or not for experienced players (of which i think its still very valuable).

but the original reason it was brought up was as a recommendation to a newer player who was relying on sprint burst speed to run away and not really know how to play tiles, and in that case i dont think any perks in the game are as valuable as windows and possibly deja vu.

and its not a handicap because it teaches you pallet spawns. just like you use training wheels to learn how to ride a bike and then removes the training wheels once you know how, you can just use windows as a map learning tool and remove it later.

though i still think its worth using no matter the skill level - outside of SWF
