just to check my understanding on a bit of wesker tech since im not sure i really get it, the way the game calculates how long your bound is is by checking from the moment you press the bound key but your actual collision is bigger which why you can bump off of stuff mid bound and not get the full bump animation. But for the tech which is sorta a delayed hug tech you're using a little bump to knock yourself off course but still with the bigger bound which is why you can just slip and slide accross a wall or something

oh hide just means be near the killer in any way without being in chase. 10 meters is pretty close

i dont believe it has to be a consecutive 60 seconds, so just being close by the killer at all without chase happening should work. it is a really tough challenge though

My best advice for those challenges is to bring an offering for a multi-floor map like Meat Plant or Midwich, then just follow the killer the floor above/below them.

Know when to drop chases, check on generators routinely, build profiles on the survivors to figure out how much they push the generators (will tell you how often to check the generators), hook near areas you want to protect and know which generators to defend (dead dawg main, swamp house gen, etc)

Here's what I heard once, and it really changed my way of thinking. It was in reference to League, but the same thought process applies to DBD as well.

In a MOBA it's 5v5. You play, so that's one slot. The rest of the slots are randoms. You think you should be ranked higher than you currently are, like many people do. You think this is because teammates are pulling you down.

There's 4 chances for teammates to be anywhere from awful to amazing on your team. And 5 chances on the enemy team. Let's pretend you're right and you really ARE miles better than most players at your rank. In this instance, your team has a 100% chance to always have an amazing player (you). Yes, the other slots are still random. But that's the thing.** If all matches were totally random with player skill in this manner, over time you will win more games since you are the edge. You are the non-random factor.**

Oh I'm aware. I'm not a good survivor, my point is that the escape-only progression doesn't give many progression options if you have teammates not even doing win objectives. And in general the "ELO hell" for solo survivor is probably right at the bottom because there's no criteria to distinguish yourself even slightly, if you have team mates not contributing to escape conditions in some way.

Aiming for hatch escapes is unideal but was at least a way to bypass this. I suck in chase but I understand when to prioritise gens, unhooking etc, and at least progressing the win state. It's just painful being stuck with new players who don't touch gens or unhook. Luckily matchmaking is inconsistent enough to get matched with capable people sometimes, and killers aren't always good either, though they're still progressing their own win condition

Killers respecting or not respecting a pallet can depend on a lot of factors. Some killers lose their power when being pallet stunned, such as Plague and Legion. Against Bubba and Billy it can be tough. You can pallet stun them instead of feeding them the pallet instantly, but that requires precise timing. Since they are instadown killers, the longer you can last in chase the better. However, the downside of using pallets is you run out of resources as the match progresses. It is a double-edged sword, for sure.

Another thing you have to factor in is latency. If either you or the killer is on high ping, you can not afford to greed pallets as much as normally, since you are likely to get hit. This adds on top of all the other variables that make it difficult to determine what is and isn't a good moment to use pallets. This is something you have to learn as you continue playing the game.

ik this is very very specific but the map matters too like the game/gideon meet plant has so many pallets that unless your palying against huntress or another ranged killer then u might aswell throw em down (with the exception of a couple god pallets u might wanna greed for later) since even if he has brutal he is not going to destroy 35 pallets before all gens are done assuming your teams not brain dead

You're likely leaving some kind of traces, or you're being tracked somehow.

Remember that the goal of DBD isn't to hide. It's to be chased and eat up as much of the killer's time as possible.
