Honestly the solo experience is fantastic, you'll have no problem finding people to dance or hang out with. Vibe is super good, pretty much everyone is really welcoming

There is a solo camping area - I wandered down there one evening and said hello to anyone who looked solitary or open - that got me acquainted with a few people. There's also a solo meetup at a published time and place - I managed to miss this though 😦 Sitting with folk at lunchtime - with their permission - and making conversation is a nice time to make connections, queues are great for this too. Tip - if you meet someone you like - exchange some contact details or arrange a next meetup then - otherwise you might never find them on the site again!

If you mean from the festival area to parking then yes.
You can leave the area at any time but you have to go through security if you want to come back in, and thats only doable during opening hours

Last year, it was ~ the same planning, and a last shuttle was coming ~0:30 so you have time to leave the festival area

Hi there! I'm a first-time Liquicity goer, but a long time festival attendee. I just got keyed onto the ability to volunteer at Liquicity, just a couple questions.

What's the flexability on volunteering? I've volunteered at a bunch of different events, festivals, and burns - and am interested on knowing a bit of what I might end up doing, and if I can still make sure I hit the music I'm interested in while I help out.

Why does volunteering require a thursday pass, I have one - as I'm flying in from the US Thursday morning. But is there a specific time I would need to be there for setup/training? How could i make sure that fits in with my pre-existing travel plans.

Hi there,
Nice to meet you!

When you apply for volunteering you have to chose minimum one shift to apply to and after they've sorted everything out you can fill in for more if you want to. Every hour on top of the required is being paid with 2LIQ you get on your wristband for spending at the festival. Flexibility depends on what you chose to do and at the things I've helped out last year we always had some way of enjoying music, weather it was hearing one of the stages, via headphones at the silent disco or via Bluetooth speaker at the entrance.

With the Thursday pass it might be because volunteering is being rewarded with getting the amount for your ticket back so everyone volunteering no matter when or where around the festival gets the same amount refunded. (Though that's speculation from myself, so don't take it for granted.)

Usually you meet backstage 30 minutes before the start of your shift, so you could apply for one that fits in with your travel plans e.g. take one on Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Campsite on actual fest days (friday through sunday) is from 10:00 to 22:00. So even if you happen to go to a hotel or bungalo nearby at 06:00 after silent disco to get some sleep, youre going to be back within that window

Not always, there have been years where there been gaps in the line up between like 1700 and 2030 and where I had stuff off site. But that aint option with these openingtimes.

Dont get me wrong I get it, the festival is mainly structured around the people staying on site but it would be very nice if entry would be open till like 30 min before end as it is for most gigs.

Can anybody please advise me regarding repeating entrance the camp with a car? It's my first Liquicity with a car..
I mean, my idea is to arrive on Friday with a full car somewhere to the campsite (as close as possible, to not go through the whole parking with heavy stuff) and leave there people with the first part of our camping gear. Then the car will go back to the train station to bring 2 more people (instead of the shuttlebus), get back to the festival and park until the end.
Looking at the map from the last year, there will be probably K+R (Kiss&Ride) spot that i should use for the first mentioned drop-off (without option of accessing the parking i assume) and then i go to the parking - can somebody please confirm this and/or suggest the best practice?

Hey I've worked entrance scanning Tickets/handing out wristbands last year on Friday morning and the queue was really busy for the first 2/3 hours but afterwards it cleared up.
I myself took ~2 hours or so from arriving to getting through security on Thursday when it was really busy.

But I don't think you're going to miss the whole day because of there being so many people.

In my experience the only thing you need to bring onto the campsite when entering the first time are drinks (per person entering for the first time). You were not allowed to bring additional drinks (alcohol ofc) when re-entering previous years. Other than that, enter as many times as you want, within the opening hours ofcourse. Last year the entry to the campsite was pretty close to the entrance of the parking, where there was some space to unload. However, this year the parking area has changed/moved. Kiss and Ride is probably the best option for people and their stuff, bring your own stuff and drinks when parking for the 'final' time when entering the camping for the first time

I also believe they did mention they were targeting shorter queue times

I was more afraid from the re-entry with a car as on the Let it roll its first entrance even to the parking and then you are getting closer to the campsite, so there was a good one to first get closer to leave there your camping gear and then go back to park your car, otherwise it was quite far distance to go. K+R was a different route for that.
But when i checked the last year map i realized that here is K+R best option to go. Thanks a lot for sharing tips! 🙌

Welll I was wondering something.. (I don't if this has been asked before). But when I check the spaces for the available friendzones and the minimum amount of people it needs I have questions. Because most tents are already taking 6m2 each. Some people have bigger tents.. And also living space (because of the gazebo and some chairs you want to put down on a circle or so) is taking up space. How strict is this? 14 people on a medium friends zone is maybe a little too much. I understand why you want to avoid that small groups taking big places, but I think the amount of people for such m2 is a little to positive?

I have heard of others getting their <33cm speakers in just fine in previous years, but as I say with any rule you're doing so at your own risk. If you're able to adhere to the limit, it's better to do so than chancing it gets confiscated or just being disallowed from using it at all. It's a new year so you don't know if they'll be stricter or not.

You also want to be considerate towards your campsite neighbors with what you bring in.

I have anxiety as well and there were a few times it got bad last year, but there were enough “quieter” places away from crowds around the festival (hammock areas, etc) that I was usually able to manage before it got bad. I happened to find the yoga area while I was having a panic attack. Thankfully it was between classes and the ladies let me just use the space. They also brought me apple juice, which was super sweet. All this to say - there are “safe spaces” that may work for your friend if the campsite is further from the entrance

I used to deal with panic attacks and I usually just went to the First Aid. Pretty calm there, they give you space when you tell them you need it. Sometimes easier to reach than your tent

Also, if I look in the shop now I see only the large 'luxury' friendscamp mentions a friendscamp name. Is that correct? Do the small and medium ones do not get a name?

I think most of it is good from what I've heard, but specifically the pasta, crepes, and okonomiyaki are what I hear my friends mention/try every year! There's lots of things to choose from and I don't think you can go wrong with what you pick, so I'd say go for what sounds good, is affordable and will fuel you for the festival.
