first time camper here (at a festival), how worried should i be about my tent getting stolen/destroyed, my belongings gone?

Not at all, but it obviously doesn't hurt to be cautious and keep the important things with you or put it in a locker.

Just use some common sense, also a tip from @misty dawn is to make an absolute mess of your tent so it's hard to find anything they would want to take

Hi guys, I have a question. Traveling from Australia and this is my first weekend event and camp equipped festival. Me and my buddies will be staying in Alkmaar for the week (as we want to do other stuff too) and were planning to shuttle/uber to and from the site each day. I looked at the closing time for the festival site and it states 7pm-ish. I wanted to know if the festival closes before or after the last set for each day? Otherwise it looks like I'll be camping!

Also know that you need a shuttlebus ticket for each time you take the bus from alkmaar station.
So if you go 3 days, you'd need 3 shuttlebus tickets.

if you want to get back to alkmaar after the last set (or later if you still want to join the night area with silent disco & more) then you should think about pre-booking a taxi to be sure you have a ride
OR but this is top tier Dutch behaviour: rent a bike 🙂

or just stay at the campsite if you've got the possibility to as it is a big part of the liquicity festival experience 🤌❤️
