Hey y'all. My housing accommodations to stay with a local friend for the festival recently fell through. Anyone have extra room in their tent that I could crash in? I'd be happy to pitch in to help cover costs.

I do technically have extra room but I also have a smol tunnel tent left over from last year that I could lend you. You can probably get one of those super makeshift air matresses at the camping shop on site.

The package of the tent is very smol so i can easily bring it with me

I'm reading on the FAQs that outside food and beverage is allowed to be brought in, and there are free water bottle refills on site.
What kinds of food do people usually eat there? I'm assuming microwaves and such aren't available...

You can bring your own food and drink, including up to 4L of up to 15%vol alc to the campsite. No glass containers tho.

But you cant bring any food or drink onto the festival ground itself.

Food wise is go with things that won't go bad too easily when it's exposed to sun/heat. You can consider bringing a little camping gas stove for like hotdogs or anything.

Last year I brought some buns, a few packets of snack Salami, a tube of mustard and some bisquits to eat for breakfast or for late night snacks. And a lot of energy drinks, some beer and soda.

For a good dinner meal I personally would go for the (extremely good) festival food trucks.

But this is quite pricy, so it depends on your budget.

Yep. Theres some pretty amazing food on site from basicly any cuisine you wanna name. The prices are obviously festival tax'ed but the portions are quite sizeable as well!

Yeah its really quite fine. The guys i was hanging with constantly bought beers to so i hardly had to spend anything on that (Though I did buy some back for them in kind and some food as well)

Do the extra activities advertised on the website like the pool, silent disco, "glamour zone", etc cost tokens to get in, or are they just free for anyone with a festival ticket?

That depends on the activity, some do, some dont. The pool was free last year and I think the silent disco was based on a lending system for the headphones.

How clean are the restrooms/showers? Are we talking like the bare minimums with filthy porta potties and no running water, or like actually decent permanent facilities on the camp ground?

Were talking Portapotties (if its the same as last year). It might be that they get a bunch of event toilet trailers. Last year was pretty ad-hoc apparently due to covid aftermath. Running water is always present though and theres handwashig stations around.

The showers were mobile units but they were actually pretty nice. The hot water was proper HOT 😂

Even the porta Potties were sorta decent ones tho. I didnt notice any major filthiness

I was at a pretty small camping festival in the US once, and the facilities were pretty scuffed after 3 days
I was very glad I was within driving distance of home, because I did NOT want to stay there over night

What is the smoking policy for tobacco/weed? I saw the "no drugs allowed" policy, but it's the NL so wasn't sure if that applied to weed or not.

Tobacco is fine. As long as you don't litter the butts. Keep a pocket ashtrah or pocket trash baggy for the cigarette butts.

Theres local laws on like a provicial basis in the netherlands that in this case forbid drug use on the festival, even weed.

gotcha. I'm a non-smoker, so that's actually good news for me. I was kinda hoping there might have been a dedicated "smoking area" away from the main stage, but I'll survive.

No smoking areas. Since it's mostly outside.
People aren't supposed to smoke inside the stage tents, but it unfortunately does happen.

Nobody smokes directly at the stages. At least ive not seen people smoking directly there. Everyone was doing it in some distance

Always protect your belongings. I can't speak for everyone but I have had no issues with those things myself.
No festival is asshole free, so you could be at the wrong place at the wrong time ofc. But mainly no big issues.

I havent noticed any major issues myself but I kept all my belonging in terms of valuables on me and the less important stuff in my tent. Nobody touched it.

As for rowdiness I saw some drunk people and such but they were pretty tame and generally in a group that kept em in check.

Theres also lockers you can rent to keep any valuables secure
