Yeah, powerslide. I’m not sure if you have it bounded, but most people bound it to L1 (the flatter button above the left trigger), and also bound that to free airroll. It takes some practice, but tapping powerslide as you turn helps you make sharp turns and cuts.

Oh I’m not the most experienced when it comes to kbm but those airdrops do help. I’m pretty sure it’s just called airroll in your settings; it makes it so that your an and d inputs turn into airroll inputs. I don’t really use it much so it’s not the most important. Shift seems like it could work just fine for powerslide. Just try to practice speedflips or some type of intentional flip, powerslide cuts and recoveries, and basic dribbles with shots. ALSO if you watch pro play, you can see that they do really efficient movement around the field and DON’T spam flips or speedflips to get around: only when they are important to get somewhere fast, Spamming flips will lead to you not being able to react to the play fast enough because you’ll be stuck traveling in that direction until the flip is over.
