1s is one of the hardest modes as its heavily on luck as the kickoffs anything can happen and also the fact that quite alot of people who are higher ranks in other gamemodes don't rly play 1s like myself (peaked at c3 in other modes but only ever git d2 in 1s)

Yea like the main idea that got me out of champ is just understanding how big of a decision each challenge is. If you are first man and challenge poorly you are gonna leave your tm8 in a 2v1 and you get scored on. That’s what happens most often in champ imo, it may seem like the second man’s fault cuz he got scored on but really his tm8 left him in that position

Ig a simpler way of putting it is just understanding whether you are first or second man and looking more to punish than forcing things

id say in gold 3 being ready for a pass is a bit of a waste of time. Being ready for outplays/challenges will be much more beneficial. When your teammate has the ball try be between the ball and your net so you can cover any challenges but still be ready to push up if he makes a good play

in your case its more so practicing gamesense , positioning and game sense

you play fast to get to the ball and you slow down to have full control of it, you start to get an understanding of what the oponent does and how do you punish it, it needs to be quick responses, being able to pop the ball flick it, and still have touches on it after you do so would be best bet

watching higher level players and going over your replays is probs a decent place to start. If bad habits keep coming back you probs just need to pay more attention specifically on what you're trying to improve

comes down to position, reading your teammate and knowing what to do at the moment. although personally i have good gamesense, my teammates are usually not capable of reading what im going to do when i go, or stay somewhere or try and change the field. this is is essentially why lower rank ( for example if you were hardstuck ) is so random. a lot of people that can't teamplay aswell. or rotate.

i agree with you its lopsided, one way or another i think queing above C2 is safe alone, otherwise its not worth throwing for when teammates dont even know what they're doing most of the times instead of just chasing ball position. there's only 30% or less of the time you see a good player that carries or plays as equal / very good in your team. its annoying to bear with especially if in D3 to C1, and C2 is just a cycle.

if you focus on lets say: defense, rotation, timing of when to approach the ball, knowing what to do when your opponent does this and your teammate is there, etc. recoveries are one of the most important with a bad teammate. you have to be all round at this factor, you need to be able to return, gain posession and also read plays
