⚠️ To report users violating server rules, please use one of the two reporting options in any channel

🔺 Report User: Type /report and you will be asked to select or type in the name of a user to report. After selecting a user and submitting, a pop-up will appear, allowing you to add a reason for the report. You can use the /report command in any channel. Other members of that channel will not be able to see your message.

🔺 Report Message: You can now report individual messages sent in the Discord server. Start by right-clicking on a message (on mobile, long press the message); select 'Apps,' in the menu that appears, then select the 'Report Message' option. Same as reporting a user, a pop-up will appear, allowing you to add a reason for the report. Note: this does not apply to Direct Messages, only messages sent in the RL Discord.

• ***Any reports submitted will only be visible to you and the moderation team. They will not be visible in any way to other users in the Discord server. ***
• The moderation team reads all reports, and will administer the appropriate action.
• You can also use this to report issues in voice chat channels. Use the /report command in any text channel, and please provide appropriate details.
• Please note: The Moderation Team does not act upon Direct Message content sent between members. Please report Direct Message content to Discord Trust & Safety and block the user.

🔸 1 — Use the right channels.
The promotion of content is allowed in #content-promotion only.
Searching for people to play with goes in #looking-for-group.

🔸 2 — Use common sense.
• We do not want spam, (server) ads, toxicity, harassment, impersonation of other members, etc.
• Do not try to disturb the peace on this server.
• If you have a dispute with another member, take it to DMs. Ensure that chat is as inclusive as possible.
• Don't converse in other languages than English.

🔸 3 — Adhere to the Rocket League Terms of Use and EULA.

This also applies to what is viewable in your server profile in our servers.

Examples of what we forbid:
• Providing/asking for boosting services. This rule also applies to sending links to such content.

🔸 4 — Your name must be readable, mentionable, and appropriate, and it must include at least two characters.
• This means that names should not include self promotion, anything that does not follow our other set rules, contain digits only, characters that cannot be easily typed on the US-Intl layout, excessive use of symbols, etc.
• You can set your own nickname. Inappropriate nicknames may be changed by the mod team along with a warning. Names promoting hate speech or similar may lead to a server ban.

🔸 5 — Do not abuse mentions.
• Do not abuse mentions of specific members or roles.
• Do not mention Psyonix Staff.

🔸 6 — No external drama or witch hunting.
• Report scams in their respective communities. If you were scammed please start a ticket on https://support.rocketleague.com/.
• Do not try to expose people publicly, or stir up drama from elsewhere.

🔸 7 — Do not link or discuss NSFW/suggestive content or content involving deadly weapons and violence
• This includes images, videos, emotes, avatars, and usernames.

🔸 8 — Avoid risky clicks.
• Please make sure that when you send a link, people know what to expect when they click on the link. We do not allow URL shorteners (they get deleted on sight).

🔷 Please note:

🔹 Channel-specific rules.
• Some channels may have specific rules. Please check the pins/channel description before using them.

🔹 DM policy.
• If you decide to not follow the server rules in DMs with someone, this decision must be mutual. This means that you should not break the server rules in DMs, except if both parties agree to this.
• If someone is sending spam in DMs or breaking Discord rules, please report them to Discord (and block the user to prevent further harassment).

🔹 Voice chats.
• Our rules also apply to voice channels, especially when they are open to the public. Being obnoxious in voice chats (e.g. using voice changers, playing music) is not allowed.

🔹 But technically...
• Keep in mind that those rules are enforced according to their spirit, not to their words. There are no loopholes thusly: we may still take action if something you do is not explicitly in the rules, or if it's in a gray area. Please respect our decision if this occurs.

🔹 Admins, Legends, and Contributors do not work for Psyonix.
• Folks with these roles generally cannot help you with player reports, crashes, and other game-related issues. It does not hurt to ask about your issue in #community-support, though.

Platform roles
• #set-roles allows you to set your platform (💻 ps xbox switch). Setting your platform gives others an indication of what platform you're playing on, and also embed permissions in some other channels.

Game support
• Please use #community-support for general support with common and easy-to-fix issues. For additional help, please visit https://support.rocketleague.com/.

Discussion channels
• #rocket-league is to discuss anything about Rocket League, and #esports about Rocket League Esports. #off-topic-discussion is for any discussion not necessarily related to the game (though there can be overlap if an initially relevant discussion diverges towards another's topic; see each channel's description topic for more information).

Show your creative side
• For advice about car designs (and to show your own designs) we have #fashion-league. To see "What a play!" moments from other members, you can visit #gameplay-highlights. For anything else creative that you want to show to other members, we have #content-promotion.

And of course, play the game!
