Initially the springs do not work, but after reapproaching them, they work as intended. Just not when you approach them from above first.

I’ve also encountered a lot of springs not working initially when speed running. The springs in that part of Shenlin Park are especially flaky for me too though.

I have the suspicion, that there is ground priority in the works.

When I did land, I may have landed on a different property of the foreground on which there are no springs.

the awful thing about springs in this game is that they're affected by which direction you're facing, instead of just always working. if you're facing away, they get really wonky and can sometimes just stop your momentum, same thing happens if Lilac blink-dashes into them

That explains so many of the what the heck moments I've had trying to speed run levels where I want to bounce off a spring to quickly change direction.

yeah you really have to hold out, don't switch directions until way after you've already touched the spring

I've also managed to get temporarily 'stuck' inside a spring by blink dashing or dragon boosting into it even while facing the spring. And more than a few times I'll be stuck between the spring part and a wall and then try to walk out only to be bounced back toward the wall by the spring.

FP1 never had this problem so I'm sure they can get the programming right with a quick look at it

They've been really good about patching issues so far so hopefully it's on their list.
