in game when theres a dupe card option, its usually random

but with that upgrade

you can select which combatant

but there is still RNG in which card is duped

so for events like

you just click that and you click which combatant you want to dupe

and then it just gives you 3 random cards from that combatant to choose from

and also you can choose after killing the external boss and internal boss

only got it in the interior after the first copy from the external boss

also go it as the last epiphany 2 stages away from the interior boss

would have had 4 fighting spirits but only managed to get 3

Cause she has unique cards

And only 3 non unique cards

Which is perfectly enough to always show the same 3 cards that can be copied

i think counter is only good if you are going up against low action count enemies

or if you are able to stall out your turn enough that they attack during your turn

if you end your turn and they attack, it only counts as 1 attack/1 counter so you only get 1 hew value

even if 3 enemies attack you

you dont usually get more than two hue upgrades per turn and fighting spirit still exists

youre overcomplicating it, ive played enough of the counter deck to know it kinda fucks, but it fucks hard if you can get the enemies to trigger it multiple times

yeah thats what im saying, you want them to proc it multiple times, then going up against low action count enemies is good

cause the first tier hew doesnt appear in your hand until the start of the turn

so to make full value of the counter hew you want them to hit you during your turn so you can get the first tier hew after ending the turn

otherwise why use the counter hew over something like the aoe or ironclad since you can cheat them out with fighting spirit

those 2 have more value than counter hew
