cuz there are 2 branches of how mods are created

using Forge or Fabric as the base

Fabric is more stable and more in line with the updated Minecraft versions, plus has a lot more nuance with custom animations and such

Forge is like running old DX9 stuff when everyone is on DX12

still stable but without a lot of features

but a lot of mods were created with it so its hard to really deviate from it

And then I held back on doing the last section of the modpack to wait for the server

I took time building up my own base and while it's not pretty, it's got most of the functionality of the mods used

Full powah setup, functional AE2, I'm pretty much at endgame for Create if I needed proper automation

Next step was to just build an auto quarry and smelter but why do that when I can literally mine several chunks per second

they are tedious up to a point, but you use the modpack to further improve your situation

Gotta manually sieve? Okay, make an auto-siever or find ways to multiply ore

or just find a way to grind cobble into gravel into sand into dust

Well CTE2 was a pass for me

Played through the pack, got to maps

everything felt annoying to even play through

the Mine and Slash UI is nice, the actual crafting methods are god awful

and when the entire pack is centered around using it, it feels lackluster when you try to do anything else

storage is a place and forget situation as automation and tech is not needed

travelling pre elytra is fucking god awful even with gold chocobos

might be more fun with a big server with all the interactions with the trade mod
