the thing about the early game I've realized is that

you actually dont need mars key page

its only a bit later after that that you'd want it

and even then you dont need too many

its only about when you start getting kurokumo cards that you might want to start outfitting everyone with extra speed slots

if there are no fights in urban plague that are hard then it means you're probably going to be pretty chill for a bit

if you can beat tiphs first abno fight the moment you unlock it then you're very skilled at that stage and can breeze through a lot of it

when you cut out all the story and just do the gameplay its actually pretty short at least up to this point

you win a clash you take no damage

in limbus you choose a character and the strategy for it is already set because you dont build anything

in ruina you're prone to a lot more player mistakes and the damage variance is higher because you're clashing dice by dice

thats why unbreakables exist but thats too guaranteed as well

and they'll never be able to change it

it is what it is

like theres a reason they started adding more enemy passives and abilities that try to chip your SP more often ever since they tried to revamp it for a 2nd time in canto 4

because thats the only option to try to bring back more variance instead of it always being dominating clashes

but there's more player skill expression involved with managing stagger bars

in ruina you just kinda get staggered cuz ur bar is there

also egos are way more of a power trip than ego gifts in limbus

and some of them are quite hard to manage properly

but you become way more powerful for it
