PC factory reset doesn’t work

So basically I think I have a virus and I need to know how to factory reset my pc to get rid of it but when I do try the reset app closes like I go on Microsoft edge and search reset the whole app closes and like mcafe pops up my screen goes black and it closes it basically won’t let me reset at all it closes every time

generally the built in reset function isn't great - and it wouldn't be my recommended route to resetting a device, especially when trying to remove malware from the device

a clean install would be the goto in my opinion
