My microsoft account got locked after I entered the wrong verification code from my number. Now, I cant sign in because when I re-enter my number, it says "try another method" but I can't find any other options

well you can wait for some time ( about a day ) because its a temporary blockage of the number and thats why its not letting you re-enter it again.
And if doesn't get fixed after that time then you can go to the MS account recovery forum and provide as much info as you can
