Hi, I recently experienced an issue with the latest 24H2 updates. My model is the Asus vivobook 16X m1603QA, ips LCD
I noticed that sometimes, upon switching users in windows, it would sometimes result in the colours being "washed out", like an unnecessary amount of white in the login phase. I noticed that whenever I opened an app on the logged in user, it seems to make the issue disappear.
I have never experienced this issue in the past few years of operating this machine, but only after I upgraded to 24h2 these problems would occur? It might just be a red herring.
TLDR; Laptop display is washed out upon logging off sometimes, only remedy to this issue is to log back in again to open an application like edge to fix it.
Any advice on how to fix this issue permanently?

you can try updating the drivers from the official website of AMD specific to your hardware
That did nothing, it's rng
- DDU https://rtech.support/factoids/ddu/
- Reinstall both your dGPU & iGPU
It happened even if my computer has been reinstalled with the latest updates via uupdump, do I really need to use ddu?
There's no dgpu on the laptop
you decided to use a 3rd party website for your updates, I think you'll survive DDU
I could not see a reason why using ddu would fix it especially if the vanilla windows wouldn't have the basic drivers, but I guess I could give that a shot
Will report back in a few days if it works
I hope it does, otherwise I am running out of ideas
Same issue appeared and disappeared when I wake my machine up from s3 sleep for a spilt second, not too hopeful 😬 (probably drivers initializing or something after waking up)
The drivers I got was this... I suppose this driver isn't vaildated for 24h2 or something?
Changing it to optional does nothing... Forgot to mention
