In July 2023, I bought a NVMe (WD SN850X 4 TB and installed a fresh version of Windows 11 Home on it). It has said this ever since then. I am up-to-date on Windows 23H2.

My specs: Ryzen 5900X, 32 GBs of RAM @ 3600 MHz, and a RTX 2080 Founders Edition. My motherboard: ASUS - ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI).

All drivers and the BIOS is up to date. I did not have this issue while on Window 10 Home. I was using a WD Blue SN570. I still have the drive, but not using atm.

It says here that UEFI Boot and Secure Boot are both on and I checked to be sure in the BIOS too. Could it be the Hypervisor is off?

My thought was when I moved from my previous Windows 10 - C drive (before I bought the newer one in 2023 and downloaded Windows 11), I just removed the old drive after shutdown and put the new and current one in and did the install with a USB drive. I did not clear or do anything with the TPM. I am not sure how that works.

#

Other thought: Data Execution Prevention (DEP) setting

I am getting this message today. No idea why.

clear/reset the tpm in the bios @plush root

Do I need the encryption keys first?

#

I do not have BitLocker

quasi hedge
#

no and no

plush root
#

Do you have a guide you would recommend on how to do this?

quasi hedge
#

find the tpm settings in your bios and show me

plush root
#

Would it be under trusted computing?

quasi hedge
#

yes probably

plush root
#

There is something called AMD fTPM

quasi hedge
#

yeah that

plush root
quasi hedge
#

try disabling it, then save and exit, then enter the bios again and enable it

plush root
#

Under trusting computing;

plush root
#

Security processor is back on now

#

I have no idea why Standard Hardware security is off

#

Should I try this clear TPM?

Built it myself

These are the branches

Did not see when I went through the ones I thought were relevant

plush root

You are right

#

It is currently disabled

#

I’ll enable it

quasi hedge
#

yeah enable that

plush root

I do not see the AMD V

#

I assume SVM is the same as that?

quasi hedge
#

yes

plush root

Rebooting

#

This was not here before

quasi hedge
#

might have to disable and enable tpm again

plush root
#

It made me load back into windows

#

It says “pin not available”

Going back into bios now
