Issue: Windows goes black screen and restart, sometimes it reboots into windows again and freezes.

I have tested my hardware in WinPE, stress tested everything is fine, no ram error nothing.

I also try to do fresh install of windows, but once I get into windows, things happen again. I don't even have time to check events, it goes into the desktop and boom.

if directly installing using Media Creation Tool (MCT), it won't even pass setup account phase. I can only get to desktop using third party WinPE tool to one click install.

Basically inside WinPE, it behave just normal, once we go to actual Windows, the issue appears.

I swapped 2 sets of RAM, 2 PSU, 2 GPU, 2 NVME. Even tried multiple ISO for Win10 & Win11 (MCT source and other) Nothing changes.

I am running out of options, basically what I did before this happen was a bios update (Which I don't think it caused it, but I rolled back). Then another thing I did was replacing the thermal paste, which ofc I also cleaned up the dust. And then this happened.........

Like if there are issues with the hardware, why WinPE doesn't appear to have any issues?

I am thinking maybe it is because the dusting I did, because I replace thermal paste twice a year, this is not new. if there are issues with the CPU I prob can't even get into WinPE.

if it is indeed caused by the MB, should I wash it?
I have plenty amount of time I could prob just wash it with water for a deep clean instead of using stuff like WD40, I can leave it somewhere heated for a month no problem.

also use distilled water only and not tap water, and let it dry for a few days

#

also check for your cpu temperature, you can do it in the bios, there should be a H/W monitor or status option you can expand or it can simply be there

#

check if your CPU cooling is set properly

#

Also if you manage to get into windows try checking the event logs

Update:

Problem fixed, it is likely due to, some reason, multiple corrupted install media, I ended up finding a working iso.

Microsoft's installation media for Windows does not work at all for this (This time, both win11 and win10) Including direct install & ISO method.

That used to work, on the same system, few years ago (The last time I installed system)

It just didn't work this time for some reason.
