Got a mac pro 2019, waiting on the proprietary power cable for sata to come in, so i was hoping on just using sata to usb for my windows drive. End up finding out you cant do a standard installation on a usb drive, and I dont want to have to use windows to go. any suggestions?

You can... do it by using dism apply image command...and manually creating... boot partition...
Or you can use an app...i forgot the name...

trying to erase the drive and format as ntfs beforehand, but command prompt in windows installation media takes forever. jeez.

was doing it in install media so couldnt
process ended up being
format drive as fat32
format as ntfs in windows
apply image using windows
make bootable
put drive into mac pro
boot into drive
setup
boot back into macos
manually set name
that was all
