#Why is system taking so much Wifi data?

I was checking around and noticed wifi took way more data than anything else. Every search online is for over 900GB results, so I'm not sure if it's the same situation. Is this a normal amount of usage? Is there a way for me to lower it?

I forgot to mention that I use a VPN at times (Mullvad), yet I'm not sure if it could be the reason

It may have updated perhaps last week? My memory is rather bad, I cannot say for sure.

A client update of a game (Identity V)
Official website and such, just in case to make sure it doesn't seem like a random torrent download 😭

ok, so i have 2 theory: 1 you somehow got an malware; 2 there is an type of bug on the driver or to some app that is under the system category that make do dowload something again and again

#

do you notice like the disk is filling whithout you saving something on the disk?

Maybe? I cannot say for sure... I tend to have weekly folders on certain updated files so I tend to assume it's that, since those files tend to be quite large

#

There was a time I realized I had more than I expected, so it could be a yes

I don't think they're related to the issue, they're mostly files from a specific game engine

#

Maybe I could just take the safe route and factory reset

In someone else's case, it was
"I have identified the problem. The system service regsvr32.exe is constantly attempting to register a program with Microsoft. It has two copies running, using a constant 0.1Mbps and peaking at over 7Mbps whenever the system is not touched for a few minutes."
