Windows 11 not booting after partition resize

Hi!
So, I was migrating my Installation of windows to a bigger drive using Linux
But after the migration and veryfing everything works, I installed Ubuntu on the previous drive after which the windows stopped booting

I've gotten first the hibernation file error, after removing which, I'm stuck with 0xc000000e

Any thoughts? I am able to access the drive from Linux forcefully

From external windows usb
bootrec /fixboot - no elements found
Bootrec /scanos - no installations found
Diskpart list disk only returns USB disk out of 3 drives installed

The order of events

Start:
500gb drive with windows
Plugged in 1tb empty drive, booted into livecd Ubuntu
Cloned using dd
Removed 500gb drive
Booted into 1tb windows copy
Changed 1tbs drive id post cloning
Plugged in 500gb, plugged in livecd
Formatted 500gb, installed Ubuntu on 500gb
Resized 1tb partitions using gparted post cloning from 500gb to 1tb
And here we are

I'm guessing Ubuntu overrode some windows boot settings?

why did you even resize 1 TB ...after clonning?..

Because I used dd for cloning which cloned partitions to be the same size, i.e. 1tb drive had 500gb of left unallocated space

I understand now...but where is the 1 TB drive here?..I dont see it

Neither of my three drives is visible when I plug in a live windows USB stick and enter troubleshooting cmd

(there is also a 1tb HDD which went unmentioned because it's just file storage)

only plug in the 1 TB.. disable or unplug the rest

and check if it is detected...

Faulty partition map post resize. Two partition records with small differences in start/end
I accidentally nuked the partition while trying to recreate it...

But I've got a copy
So I think I'll try reinstalling windows and cloning the data transition back

Nothing yet 😄 visiting today, so I'll be home late
But will probably run those tomorrow in the background during work since these operations take a bit (e.g. restoration using dd) and come back with updates
Thankfully I use a separate laptop for work

I'm betting with my luck after installing new W11 and restoring the partition there will be problems with system32 integrity in relation to current system version

Installing windows, letting it repartition the drive and restore using dd from a partition image I've made before accidentally nuking it with testdisk

DD from livecd ubuntu

But gotta ensure windows isn't hibernated or anything

Win install does not see my drives

RST drives - tried from Acer site
Disabling RST - also tried

Diskpart actually sees my disk rn

The 1tb cleaned drive

(wasn't seen before when it had win partitions)

So diskpart sees it, but win install does not

thats odd!... I mean..thats never happened..that diskpart sees it but windows installer doesnt...usually it affects the same for both...

At least it was seen but as unusable and only under volumes, not disks

For what it's worth instead of showing me empty disk list it immediately jumps me to ~"requires drivers, select drivers for disks, no disks found"

you tried official drivers?...

for your laptop?..

did you untick the box...that shows unsigned drivers as well?..

Yup! Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58 RST drivers
Version 1037 and 1003
1003 is not visible by the installer (counted as not viable for the hardware)
1037 is installable but does not help to see drivers

Probably bad select when playing around with diskpart and running clean on a wrong disk 😆

(I ran clean multiple times, so 100% it was run once on the 1tb)

proceed with cleaning the drive and convert GPT...

check...if it doesnt detect... then knock when you load the drivers...

New iso with vmd disabled worked immediately without drivers

Now just gotta try restoring partition from image

Disk image gziped is 230gb so imma hit the gym in the meanwhile 😆

In the end I was unable to restore my windows partition image in a way that didn't mess with booting (using dd or copy) but I think I'm gonna install new windows on 1TB and mount partition image on some HDD and copy files over that way and see what programs I need to install
