I think you're lucky it didn't become unbootable by doing those changes...
This has to be configured before you install Windows btw, so you can't change it
So im not able to instal Windows 11?
you absolutely can, but if you're going to play Valorant or something, it's a good idea to set it up with secure boot and reinstall Windows
yeah but how can i do it?
like i mean how to reinstal windows and have secure boot on
@wooden python
Are you using legacy mode...right now?...
it shows that its old version so i think yeah
What old version?... Screenshot it..
its in other language so yeah for you its legacy
You can...
-make a windows bootable usb..
-backup personal files from C drive...
-boot into bios...
-switch to uefi mode only..and turn on secure boot...
reinstall windows...via bootable usb..
Guide to clean install windows!...
https://cmdrkeene.com/r/cleaninstall
However...there is a less complex method... but its not guaranteed to work!...
Its to run mbr2gpt command...in cmd (admin)
Make a bootable usb stick and backup your personal files before...... if you go this route!
i dont need any personal files and i dont have pendrive jokes on me 😂
nvm i found one wish me luck so i wont f*uck anything up
@flint ember i need a Lil help cause when im going into the bios and turn off some settings which says that if you turn off it will enable secure boot and i try to get out of bios it Kicks be back to bios and this way i cant reinstal Windows
Boot from usb...you can do that from bios...
then reinstall windows...
so i need to download windows on pendrive then go into bios turn on secure boot then boot widnows from usb?
prepare the usb using...windows installation media..then do the rest
Yeah i did but im having problem with booting from usb
i cant find this option in my bios
Screenshot boot section..in the bios
@flint ember
is the usb stick...plugged in?
just as I thought... faulty usb stick...whats the brand of this usb stick?
Nah its my bad actually cause i pluged it in when i went into bios not before
now try to boot from it... still the usb stick is in bad condition
Its not but what boot option is it
see the boot override...near the bottom... click UEFI: vendorCO....partition 1
And before that i should turn off cms right?
you turned off CSM?...
Yes
thats why... your ssd was set to boot in legacy mode... not uefi
boot from usb...
When i click uefi from boot over drive it just lags for a sec and does nothing
try again... your usb stick is corrupted or faulty... try to use a fresh or a new usb stick...if you can
I turned on csm cause that was the only Way it wanted to boot
the usb?...or the ssd?
Maybe the problem is that my bios is set on legacy and cant launch csm
I turned off csm and then clicked the USB
then?
Then my pc restarted and opened as allways
booted back to desktop?
Yes
Should we maybe try to change my bios into uefi?
do what you did before... you will need to boot from usb...try again
Okay So turn off csm and then launch from usb?
yep!... just click the usb from the boot override option
if it doesnt work...then you will need another usb stick...
Yeah it doesnt but its becouse csm can we try to change my bios to uefi?
just disable CSM...
and screenshot
I disabeled it but what do i Screen shoot
the CSM section and the boot section...
now save and exit...and boot back to bios...
@real crystal
Yeah So what i did was turn off csm clicked on boot from usb it restarted and opened bios then i looked if csm is on and it was off so i clicked Save and exit and it kicked me to the bios
you were supposed to... turn off csm and save and exit ...boot to bios and try to boot from usb
Okay i will
But So it will boot like normalny to Windows i need to first turn csm on and then do everything u told me btw
if you want to boot to windows... you will need to turn on CSM... but you are supposed to boot from usb stick..
I turned off csm saved and exit it kicked me back to bios and now when i click on usb it lags and does nothing
what happens afterwards?...
.
do you have another usb stick?...
I dont think So but can we please somehow change bios from legacy to uefi?
when you disable csm...its in uefi mode
problem is your usb stick... try to get another usb stick!
I got another usb but im 100% sure its not its fault but i can still try another one if you recomend it
whats the name of the usb stick...you tried just now?
Its doesnt have name its usb stick from army with like polish army on it its New and fully working
your motherboard...didnt recognize your usb stick..properly..
try a known branded usb stick...
I got another one which i Will try but still i think its something about the bios version
Wtf @flint ember
I turned off csm and look
Now im just doing the steps
did you wipe the drive?..
Just delete all...if you dont care about data inside
