Hi all,
I'm seeking a more efficient way to add emails to To-Do items in Office 365. Currently, I have to save the email and then attach it as a file, which seems cumbersome. With Office 365 being cloud-based, I'm wondering if there's a way to utilize the email URL to link it to a To-Do item. That is, copy paste the URL into the To Do item's details section instead of attaching the email.
However, when I copy and paste the email URL from my browser, it doesn't open directly to the email; instead, it opens Outlook's inbox, archive, or other folders depending on where the email was located when I copied the URL.
Example URLs:
https://outlook.office365.com/mail/inbox/id/asdfasdfasdfasdfasdf87ry0187ryh08quh4r038297nry038247ryn082347ryn083274ryn
https://outlook.office365.com/mail/archive/id/asdfasdfasdfasdfasdf87ry0187ryh08quh4r038297nry038247ryn082347ryn083274ryn
https://outlook.office365.com/mail/sentitems/id/asdfasdfasdfasdfasdf87ry0187ryh08quh4r038297nry038247ryn082347ryn083274ryn
I miss the simplicity of the old Windows desktop version of Outlook, where I could simply drag and drop files into a task item without having to download or attach them (done via the Tasks feature).
To Do is cool, but the more I use it, the more I deeply miss Tasks for power user stuff.
Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards,
Eric
