#Outlook 365 shared mailbox without automapping

In my organization, when we add shared mailboxes permissions to users with automapping enabled, these shared mailboxes are missing from the "From" dropdown unless you manually add them.
However if you add these shared mailbox permissions WITHOUT automapping, users will need to manually add these shared mailboxes through Account Settings. After that is done, these non-automapped shared mailboxes will be automatically showing in the "From" dropdown.

My Question:

  • Is there a registry key/script/AppData configuration item that can be modified for Automapped shared mailboxes to automatically be added to "From" dropdown when a user is first added to these shared mailboxes' permissions?

Add-RecipientPermission <identity> -AccessRights SendAs -Trustee <user>

#

but none of them should actually populate the dropdown list tbh

#

I think you still need to write it manually the first time

#

probably
