Microsoft account login problem

Hello, when I tried to log in to my microsoft account, it said this... The only options for authentication were to use my phone number, except it's my old non-existent number, and the other option was to enter some authentication information about the account (residence, passwords, etc...) Unfortunately I couldn't authenticate... My account is temporarily blocked for security reasons... Can anyone advise me what to do about it... ?

if you haven't kept your recovery details up to date and aren't able to authenticate through other information via that path or the account recovery form then you've lost the account unfortunately

because if your credentials have been involved in a databreach anyone could attempt to login to your account

hence why microsoft pushes for multi-factor authentication
