When you visit a site, you get an install app option in the address bar

Many sites have install standalone app option available. And it doesn't use any storage too. It's just a website but not with tabs. Only with that particular page like standalone apps have.

You can download all google apps on PC like this. Without installing any kind of emulator...

I only keep the icons that I need or are important which I frequently use on the desktop

I delete the icons like discord which appear on the desktop.

Instead I just pin discord to the taskbar as you can see so the desktop stays clean
