windows 10 32bit ram limit

can anyone help me with this?
i have a windows 10 32 bit laptop from 2017 (bought it used last year) and in settings it says only 2,15gb out of 8gb of ram can be used. on the task manager it says 5,8gb is reserved for hardware. is there a way to reduce this number so i can use more ram? thanks

is the cpu 64 bit if it is your useing the wrong os

32-bit software works with 64-bit OS too.
unless your software is an outdated 16-bit software

if your software doesn't require real hardware, it can be easily installed in a virtual machine.

How do you even use a 16bit is but all you need to run is the compatible os for that software in a vm then run your is in 64bit then you get the full ram

gonna take even longer on a virtual machine

You should really look for an alternative.. to use your 16bit software..

That 8 GB ram is being wasted horribly!
