#Does Win 11 finally support my laptop?
51 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
What is the purpose of this application? Basic system integrity? The issue I'm having was documented in the MSI forums and was confirmed to be a driver issue that needed to be resolved between MS and MSI. I'm not the only one who experienced it and I know how to diagnose hardware
I'm looking for someone who can speak to the specific state of QA/QC of win 11 graphics drivers on this hardware and whether or not its stable
Have you tried it?
It'll answer the above questions
Also you probably will need to enable TPM 2.0
Yes, it meets the reqs. It did the last time I tried to install too
But MSI and/or MS still had huge issues with drivers working properly
Lots of people have downgraded, myself included. I just want to know if they've made it stable yet
well the first question is what are you trying to get out of Windows 11?
I use it at home but at work I use 10, at the end of the day, just stick with 10 if it's stable
I want the nags to go away
nags?
you can de crap ify that
!PLEASE READ THIS AND THE SCRIPT ITSELF BEFORE RUNNING IT! This way, no surprises! -------------------------------------------------------- Windows 10/11 Decrapifier ----
I will also lose support for a couple of critical work apps 6 mo before 10 goes out of support
I'm an contractor, there is no distinction
Programs I own that I need to do my job will only have deployments for win 11 within a year. Trying to get a jump on it now
I guess I'll just end up buying a new laptop
without knowing the model number, it's hard to find what works or doesn't work
On paper, that machine is about 2 years ago and there is a TPM on there
and hte cpu is suppor4ted
GE76 Raider 10UH-274
can you post the link with the windows 11 issue that you read?
yeah, windows 11 installs and runs, but the graphics switching is broken
Sure but I need it to work
If that doesn't work in win 11 i'm into buying a new laptop
So I want to find out if they fixed it yet

tons and tons of issues
Those are all from 2 years ago, IMO, make 2 usbs and see if you can test win 11
(one for win 11, one for 10)
So I just wanted to post and ask if anyone who is familiar with this or similar issues knows that the problem is resolved
it'll save you $1000 ish bucks
I don't want to be the furst to check
More like $3k
you get the idea
I know I can test it myself. I'm asking because I don't want to be the first one to find out and document
chances that someone has that same model atm and on windows 11 is low here 😦
you can try asking in the msi forums
It was a common problem on basically all GE-Raider machines, not just my specific model. Yeah, I will post on forums, just like I'm posting here, about a year before I actually critically need a fix
Windows 11 is very stable even on unsupported hardware
I have an MSI laptop (Stealth 15M A11UEKV) and on windows 11 my GPU driver would spaz out
