How do I get the highlighted bar to appear? If I open a new tab or window in explorer, it just disappears.

This is a File Explorer issue that may occur if you have desktop hacks installed, but it can occur even without such software installed (I know one person who disagree). This happened to me even with 23H2 (but less frequent compared to older Windows 11 release).
So, just let it be. It doesn't affect anything else except esthetic/annoyance.
oh so that actual bar showing up is a bug? I’m not using any software either and i’m on 23H2
well as i said in the original post, it went away after i opened a new tab in file explorer, however in the original tab it’s still there
Do you know what it is called?
as you can see, the most updated Windows 11 wouldn't have option to enable File Explore menu bar.
Im on the most up to date though. Also that bar in the reddit post is different than mine
that's the menu bar. your context is just different because you were in Library view, not a regular folder view
The menu bar changes its menu depending on context, sir.
how do i get into library view
im confused
i was in the appdata folder
so what does that mean
this is just out of the scope of the initial question.
ok well do you at least know how i can get that bar back?
there's no show menu bar in File Explorer option any more.
you can either use a file explorer hack or registry edit, which I will not suggest to do.
how did i get it there then? I didn’t do what the person in the reddit post did.
what part of there's no show menu bar in File Explorer option any more. that you can't seem to understand?
and also you can either use a file explorer hack or registry edit, which I will not suggest to do.
Whether or not it’s there, does not negate the fact that the bar got there somehow. I didn’t use a file explorer hack or registry edit, so that’s why i made this original post. If you don’t know how that’s fine.
what do you want??????
you want the menu bar or you don't?
negate wtf?
I already SAID IT'S A BUG!
LET ME REPHRASE THIS AGAIN

are you here to annoy people or to actually gain information?
