Hello, since I moved from my dad to my mom my pc cant handle any games at high graphics anymore. I played resident evil 8 now and it gave me a black screen and closed the game, discord and other applications eventhough I lowered the graphics as much as I could. Meanwhile back then I was able to play at the highest graphics, everything clean and with even other games (WoW) open. My brother started using the pc since then as well and he is known to somehow fuck up pcs. He completely bricked his last pc which is now rotting in the basement. Ive tried anything, even a microsoft employee checked many things via remote assist today and it didnt fix nothing
#Pc got terrible since moved

check taskmgr tell us what is being used a lot
if its drive, you have to get a new one
if nothin shows, its ram prob
wym, how do I check dat
try a different power outlet, could be the outlet you're using is too unstable
No, that would cause shutdowns, not slowdowns
taskmanager
it can cause certain parts to stop function without shutting down
That wont give these effects at all though, and if you have a good psu that shouldnt even happen
That may cause a bsod or corruption, not regular slowdowns
he says it's black screen and game crashes, that's not just a show down
It happens in discord, and it also causes slow downs, its not related to that, at best you could say mby psu is failing, but it would not recover ever time
It sounds like gpu is dieing or ram is
i guess it depends on how you read the sentence, to me it reads "i played the game and it closed everything" but you could read it differently as well.
I think so too yes
Tho it wonders me why does it happen now. Before I was able to play several games at the same time with highest graphic while 10k tabs are open on chrome and he wasnt struggling or nothing
Yeah well I played resident evil, all chill. Then opened streamlabs wanted to stream. 2min after screen froze, went black and then closed all applications
worth a try regardless, try a different power socket and see if it changes, might as well rule it out since it's easy to do
Tried, its still doing the same
Is it bad that 7.5 gb of my ram in cache?
@dense willow is it a laptop
If yes can you send me a picture of the cpu ghz from task manager
Its a Pc
Ok 1sec
Btw I cleaned the pc earlier, there was literally tons of dust
It does run now much cleaner, but still not as best as it used to
After hours of gaming
Sorry its in german
looks like your gpu is being limited
