+ r -> msconfig -> boot -> advanced options, take a pic
I have tried the "unchecking box" method
But whenever I restart the box it's ticked again.
Or if it's not ticked it still doesn't updatethe memory
uncheck the box -> ok -> apply -> reboot
then ur ram is faulty, reinsert it and see. Else hardware issue
yes
Can this be a solution?
yes
Just wondering, what is your CPU and what is your GPU (if applicable)
If the RAM was faulty, it probably would just BSOD or not even boot at all, rather than show up as hardware reserved.
most of the time it won't bsod cus of faulty memory. Depends what instructions/functions have been called by the kernel and the memory manager, and at what state it is in
this is either the kernel thinks the ram is for hardware reserved use or there's some outdated bios sht
Worth checking the BIOS version and settings..
ye cud cmos reset, making sure no bios config is important that u need to remember. If so write it down before resetting.
any luck?
also, what is your CPU? and are you using/have enabled integrated graphics?
I'm out of town for a few days, i'll tell y'all as soon as I manage to clean the ram
