#Pc crash

Why nobody want to help me
ryzen 9-5900x
RTX 3060
32gb
1000 gb
it came with windows 11
i did all updates
that it said at settings
like 10 minutes ago
no
it keeps crashing when i play games
it keeps crashing when i play apex
and i get errors like this
I was not able to help earlier as I was asleep.
First and foremost, could you provide me with all of the crash dumps in the C:\Windows\Minidump\ directory?
it says its no location on my pc
i have internet
all are connected that need to be connected
hdmi
and
the big cable for it to turn on
yeah
it shows 2 things
but there is no fix for them
thats what it says
wait
what do i need to troubleshoot
but now that im just on discord it doesnt crash
when i play apex or any other game it does crash
@ionic linden i dont have minidump
Hm
my pc is brand new
Well there are a couple of things I would like to ask related to the crash dump, then a couple more things for when the crash occurs
okay
- Do you have crash dumps enabled? You can check via "Advanced system settings" (searched in the search bar), clicking on the "Advanced" tab, and clicking "Settings" underneath the "Startup and Recovery" category at the bottom. Send a screenshot of the settings like what I have posted below.
- During the crash, did you forcefully power off your system? If so, try not to do that for next time, as that will prevent logging the crash dump.
- You can also check for a
C:\Windows\MEMORY.dmpfile, as this file should always be written (assuming crash dumps are enabled). I do not advise sending this file however, as this can contain user-mode memory (and as such, passwords or password hashes stored in memory).
Now, I do have a couple of questions for the crash itself.
- What hardware are you working with? I see that you published some information about your hardware earlier, but if there is other information that you would like to provide me with, please do so.
- Have you performed any forms of overclocking (or underclocking)? While overclocking can yield benefits, it also decreases your computer's reliability under some circumstances (as you are pushing hardware beyond its limit).
- Have you customized the input voltage (overvolting or undervolting) to any hardware component? While this is required for actions such as overclocking, this too can cause problems, specifically bit-flips in memory (either CPU memory such as cache or RAM). For more information on the singular bit-flips caused by undervolting in particular, you can refer to this website here: https://plundervolt.com/
There are also some other questions I have, but I will save them for later
- advanced system settings brings me to google
- i didnt do anything forcefully, i'm just playing a game and i randomly hear buzzing noise coming out of my headset, then the screen freezes and the screen turns off. It goes on by itself though and i need to re login and restart the game.
- i dont have memory.dmp either but thats maybe because i didnt do your first step
was for this
what hardware am i working with?
what do you mean?
i dont know what overclocking or underclocking is sorry
- Refer to the attached image below. You may have to wait for it to resolve, as Windows will take you to "Bing" if you search immediately.
- What I meant was, did you power off your own system (by hand/manually, not automatically) during the crash dump logging/blue screen?
- Alright.
just wants to bring me to browser
When I ask "what hardware are you working with," I'm referring to your PC specs (specifications)
Well, try this then. https://windowsreport.com/advanced-system-settings-windows-10/
(DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR INSTALL ANY SOFTWARE FROM THIS WEBSITE, it is likely adware. Just follow some of the steps that do not include downloading or installing external software, as the steps themselves are accurate.)
AMD RYZEN 9 / 5900X - 3.7 GHz
GB - DDR4 - 2666 MHz
1 TB SSD - M.2 - NVMe
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 - 12 GB GDDR6
Windows 11 Pro
720 watt
this all i know based of where i ordered
alright yes im here
@ionic linden what do i do from here?
You may now follow my instructions, starting with clicking on the "Settings" button at the very bottom of that GUI (underneath "Startup and Recovery," underneath the "System startup, system failure, and debugging information" text)
Then, send me a screenshot of the pop-up
%SystemRoot is the equivalent of C:\Windows
oh
So these are default settings then. What disk space are you working with?
idk if this is what you mean
No, that's what I meant, you're good
Not sure why it was not logged then, but alright
Yeah, then it seems like it was not logged
Just for future reference (incase you did this), do not power off your system if your computer crashes. Let it restart on its own.
Now about the crash itself. From what I understand it crashes while playing Apex, correct?
Alright
any game
fortnite too
i didnt have it on rocket league tho
(If you want, you can use my settings for it, which I know will log it each time. Just bare in mind that you will have to restart your computer manually after the crash is done. Only do so if it is at 100%)
Does it happen instantly or after some time?
after some time
i will have to restart myself?
but its already restarting its self
If you used my crash dump settings, yes
As I disable automatic restarts. There are a number of reasons why this can be a good thing to have, but that's beyond the scope for now
Do you have an estimate for how long it takes?
Does it crash after an hour, 10 minutes, etc.
my pc doesnt shut of or anything, but my monitor just freezes and a blue screen pops up for a mili second.. i cant even read what it says and my monitor goes in standby mode
just random times
most of the times right when i want to start a game in apex though
or when i do nothing in lobby
it never really happens in game
That's because of the size of the crash dump. The automatic memory dump is very fast to write to the disk. This is also one of the reasons why it can be helpful to disable automatic restarts, as this way you can read the blue screen error.
I do have some potential ideas however as to what could be causing this, but I'm still uncertain. The ideas in mind are related to your GPU
my pc keeps running when it happens
can i try your settings and try to play apex?
Exactly lol
Sorry, I'm back now
This is what I like to do, help others and resolve problems that should never happen
Also because I've had years of experience understanding blue screens. I think it's selfish if I don't help others troubleshooting one
i do keep the windows 11 operating system the same right?
Sounds good to me, feel free to ping me when a crash arises @worthy plank
Will do
Can you go back to this dialog here?
And you restarted last time?
it didnt show a blue error screen
Well, I mean restart after changing those settings
it restarted itself again
I'm gonna take that as a yes then.
If it's not going to write crash dumps, I'm going to give every possible solution. I didn't want to do this as this can be a huge hassle for you, but I'm working with little information here
So, let's try a couple of things
i dont know more than you sorry
Well, that's not what I meant. It's just it won't write crash dumps
I didn't want to pester you with thousands of potential solutions, but I may have to now
So, forgive me
its weird that it skipped the blue error screen this time
you didnt do anything wrong?
Well, I'll be giving many solutions here. So in essence, I apologize for practically giving you a hassle
For one I will give you the classic "repair system files and restart" ordeal. These commands need to be run with administrative privileges. If you would like a description of what each command does, I can provide you with one (and you can have this information confirmed via another member).
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
pause
shutdown /r /t 0 /f
This will need to be saved to a batch script file (which I have also provided below). Please confirm that the batch script provided is identical to the commands I have depicted here.
@worthy plank
Those 4, yes
Uhhh
I was playing another game of apex
It crashed without the blue screen error again and now i keep on hearing the bzzzzzzz sound
It doesnt go away anymore
@ionic linden
Oh
You probably just forgot to restart after applying the system settings changes
That's a good sign then, it may have written a dump file this time
Where can i see
Though, that means this did not work, which I fully anticipated.
C:\Windows\Minidump\, but please browse to it manually
I didnt try that yet
Oh
Given the nature of the crash, I highly doubt that the system file checks will do anything, but it's worth trying that out
So this pc
Windows
Then minidump, yes
And search for minidump
If it does not exist yet, it should be created after some time, especially if the MEMORY.dmp file exists
i will try this now
the 4 commands
Is pause a command?
Minidump is not a file, it's a folder
Yes, but it is not required if you are typing these in manually
But if you are typing these manually, be sure that they are run in order.
i cant find it
Alright i did the 4 commands
these are all the files and folders i have
in windows
@ionic linden what were the commands for?
The commands are to find and replace any corrupt system files, including corrupt device drivers. I have suspicion that this will not resolve the issue, as the crash is related to specific actions (playing a game), and the crash occurs at random times (hinting at potential memory errors).
After running the commands however, you will need to restart
So please, do not forget this time.
i restarted
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
pause
shutdown /r /t 0 /f
i did these 4
Okay
and after the shutdown one it restarted
Well that's what that command is supposed to do
i have to restart now?
but what do i do with the problem of me not having the minidump folder?
here
(God I hate Windows sometimes)
but why when my pc crashes now, it doesnt show the blue screen error anymore?
i now just get the bzzz sound and my screen goes black
I have suspicion that it is your GPU drivers
and it restarts
You said you have a 3060 correct?
yes
This is going to sound very cliché, but try updating your GPU drivers
how can i do that?
Do you have GeForce Experience installed?
yeah
Alright, I'm going to start mine up real quick so I can show you where to go
And you're already there, okay then
If it's the latest GPU driver, I'm thinking you could try to downgrade the GPU driver instead
how can i do that?
In times like these, I would request to have remote access to the computer so I can check for certain things myself, but there are a ton of problems with that (privacy-related issues and this server's ToS)
Well, I didn't want you to have to fiddle with Device Manager, but it seems you'll have to do that.
how can you have access to my pc without my pc
AnyDesk
?
You'll see
You will need to run Device Manager (if you cannot open it via the search bar likewise the advanced system settings, you can use this article here https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/driver-rollback/)
After opening Device Manager, click on "Display Adapters"
Select the display adapter and right click it
Click on "Properties"
Click on the "Driver" tab at the top of the pop-up
Is the roll-back option available?
roll back option is available yes
Try rolling back the driver (click on it). Your monitor may flash during the process, but that is normal.
i did it
what now?
Restart the system on your behalf and we'll check the GPU driver then
so restart pc?
After a couple of checks, we'll see what Apex does
Yes
There's another way to do this, but I'll save that for later. I don't think I should have you completely uninstall it yet
What is the temperature of the GPU after playing Apex or another game
how can i check?
i will launch apex
There's a chance that your GPU does not have sufficient cooling, let alone your PC as a whole
Did you close Apex when this drop occurred?
Hm, okay
Close out of Apex then, it may not be temperature
Unless, is your PC a laptop or desktop computer?
There are only two options there
So if it's not a laptop, it's a desktop
I don't think a Windows tablet exists, so I don't have to ask about that
its a desktop then
For a desktop, that temperature shouldn't be a problem
Though, I did notice that your GPU was under significant load there, and I presume that is the GPU load that you get while in a match as well
Even though the game is running smoothly (as you said), I would try to reduce some settings
i did
i reduced all already
should i play apex again and wait for another crash?
maybe it gets blue screen error?
I suppose you can try that
If there is no blue screen, then I will try to check another location and see what occurred around that time
okay
i will ping you
The buzzing sound hurst so bad
Wth
It crashed again
No blue error screen
It keeps on crashing after my game
@ionic linden
I need to study something here soon, but I'll check this real quick
I need you to go to Event Viewer, let me get an article to show you how to do that
Okay
Wait a minute
Do you see the "Critical" error there?
Show me what it has
Both of those "Kernel-Power" category errors
uh
You don't know what overclocking is, so I highly doubt it's that.
Your copy of Windows for some reason doesn't log crash dumps.
How about this
This one is 2 months old, but we'll see if errors occur with this driver
why are the downloads on chrome so slow for me
games download faster
which one i check?
@ionic linden
Just the driver
Express is fine
its installed
Restart your computer.
done
what now?
Well, try playing with Apex or Fortnite again
Assuming it successfully installed (which it better have)
@ionic linden it crashed again
It only seems to crash after i played a game
But there’s still no blue error screen
Apologizes, I got busy with something earlier and I'm currently busy now
I meant to say something afterwards but I got caught up
I will say this, and if this does not work, I don't know what else to do. It is clearly related to the GPU itself, but I am running out of things we can try.
Solution 1 Part i) Try using DDU to completely uninstall the display adapter (https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html). Please follow the instructions they have listed on their page (reposted here for clarity):
a) The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best.
b) Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).
c) It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues.
Solution 1 Part ii) Reinstall your GPU drivers via NVIDIA GeForce or you can download them from their website: https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
Solution 2) Try playing with the graphics settings in Apex Legends (or any other game that is causing this problem). Considering that this is a GPU-specific problem, I reckon you should try playing with some of the visual settings within any game that crashes the computer.
Solution 3) While I highly doubt that this will fix the problem, you may try reinstalling any game that is crashing your computer. After performing the reinstall, try playing the game and see what happens.
Solution 4) Try playing the game without full-screen. In my experience, I have encountered issues with some games previously while they were in full-screen mode.
Solution 5) If you have any crash dumps relating to this crash (e.g. game crashes or system crashes) at all, send them in this thread. I will do my absolute best to analyze these.
Solution 6) While it is highly improbable that an antivirus can do this, it is something that you should try. If an antivirus is present on your system, try disabling it (entirely or only portions of it, experiment with its settings). An antivirus/antimalware can theoretically interfere with the game, as the game is simply a process, likewise how malware is simply a process.
Solution 7) Try disabling game overlays. After performing some of my own research, the root cause could be the result of a game overlay (such as Origin, Steam, or Discord).
Solution 8) Limit your frame-rate. Considering that your GPU spiked in usage during the game's launch and dropped after tabbing out of the game to view it in task manager, you may benefit from capping your frame-rate to your monitor's refresh rate (60 FPS, 120 FPS, 144 FPS, etcetera).
Solution 9) Try underclocking and/or undervolting your GPU. While this will inevitably decrease your performance, it may also allow your GPU to be more stable. DO NOT underclock or undervolt your GPU (or any hardware for that matter) substantially, as this can have negative (or otherwise unintended) side-effects. You can customize GPU clock speeds and voltages using the tool provided here: https://www.evga.com/EVGA/GeneralDownloading.aspx?file=EVGA_Precision_X1_1.3.7.0.zip (main/root website: https://www.evga.com/precisionx1/)
Solution 10) (ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT 1) Reinstall Windows. While I discourage you from doing this, you may have to under certain circumstances. I can only do so much.
Solution 11) (ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT 2) Return the laptop and request a new one. If there are no solutions, then the only thing left that I can recommend is to return the laptop for another one. As I said previously, I can only do so much.
If you have time, you may also try to refer to these articles for other solutions that I have not mentioned:

I sincerely apologize for not being able to help as much as I've been wanting to. I do hope that one of these solutions will work for you.
im back
im not using a laptop
@ionic linden it keeps warning me about this
does this have to do with all this?
@ionic linden
Did you try everything that I suggested?
No, I didn’t have much time yet
But this?
There’s no more information to that event log. It just says that the computer shut down abruptly
I can’t do much with that unfortunately.
oh
@ionic linden !!!!
@ionic linden it gave me blue screen error
Bro it happened again @ionic linden
Help!!
I’m not home
But we finally got something, thank god
someone in support keeps saying i need to buy something new
Can you log into your system?
into my system?
i am
Does it crash immediately or after some time
Okay, I need you to send me the crash dumps in C:\Windows\Minidump
today i didnt get a crash btw
i also didnt get buzzing sound
Ping me when they’re sent over. I’ll analyze it and see if it informs me of what hardware needs to be replaced
@ionic linden
Bro again
I'm going to assume you'll have to replace some hardware
I initially thought that it was the GPU, and it very well could be. However, I've only ever seen WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR stem from a faulty CPU.
What is hardware and how do i replace it?
Is it in the pc?
Yes.
@ionic linden my pc keeps randomly restarting men
No buzzing sound no blue screen
It just restarts
Oh ma gaw
🙁
I've been trying my best to fix my sleep schedule as of late. I apologize.
As I have mentioned previously, you will need to replace hardware. That is the root cause of these problems, considering the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bug check and the numerous random restarts.
As for what hardware is, it is the physical components of your computer. The components that could induce problems are the power supply (PSU), central processing unit (CPU), random access memory (RAM) modules, hard disk drive/solid state drive (HDD/SSD), graphics processing unit (GPU), or the motherboard itself.
To replace any of these system components, you will need to take apart your computer and remove a faulty component accordingly. You will want to perform some other tests such as Memtest86/Windows Memory Diagnostic to see if it is your RAM specifically (which in this case is unlikely).
Considering that the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bug check is usually induced by the CPU, you may need to check your settings accordingly. You will want to ensure that your CPU's clock speed (also known as cycles) is unchanged within the system BIOS or UEFI, which you can access prior to booting into Windows. Additionally, you will want to ensure that your CPU's voltage is unchanged as well, as changing the voltage of your CPU (increasing or decreasing it) can lead to these problems.
I encourage you to seek a friend who may be able to assist you with performing a tear-down of your computer, testing various system components.
But the pc is brand new
Doesn't matter. You will need to have it serviced.
So i got scammed?
And there’s nothing i can do without opening the pc?
Don't jump to conclusions.
Considering that it is hardware, that is correct.
No
What should i dooo
@ionic linden ?
Purchase a brand new computer altogether, considering that two components are now faulting.
Or as I told you before, you can take it to a repair shop for a trained person to resolve.
but how do i underclock my pc?
Why
i just want to know
I am not responsible for any damages caused on your behalf from the usage of this tool.
hey @ionic linden
does the blue error screen need to get 100% to create a dump file?
because i get a blue screen but it keeps staying at 0%
?
how can i check
computer
evga precision x1 can't underclock, only overclock
you need msi afterburner to underclock your GPU
@worthy plank do you always get WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR?
you should try a stability test in OCCT, to see if you're not actually hitting correctable errors at some crazy rate like 100 per minute
if you do, then it is most likely your memory clock or cpu clock which is the issue
what memory configuration does your PC have?
2 sticks or 4 sticks?
also XMP settings?
PS: it's definitely not your GPU as they should not be able to produce WHEA errors in Windows 11
a GPU crash gets handled by TDR before it is able to affect the system
it is most likely either your CPU running too high or too hot, or your RAM sticks not running the correct spec
with a very very very small risk that it's a power failure (either PSU dying, or faulty VRMs on the motheboard)
personally I am putting my money on the RAM
in my experience it's usually the RAM being configured wrong and AMD platforms being overly sensitive over that
Okay, good to know. But the problem is, he is trying solutions that are unrelated to the problem and beyond the scope.
sorry for not replying i was sleeping
but yes i only get WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
i get it like after every match of apex legends
i thinkg 2
allright, we need to first determine if it's CPU or RAM
we do that by running memtest86 to test RAM stability
and OCCT for CPU stability
one of these should indicate to us where the issue lies
i tried do download that already
but i dont have a usb
check if your motherboard has it builtin into bios/uefi
many motherboards nowadays have it included
how can i check?
bro idk where that is
no
there is no generic fix for that bluescreen
it requires troubleshooting
and appropriate system changes once the issue is located
Nothing works
Man i tried so many things on google
Nothing works
obviously that's what I keep telling you
there's no fix
you have to test the CPU, and test the Memory, to figure out which one is configured wrong
and then change the speeds or voltage for whichever is the culprit until you find settings that work
bruh
in event viewer it keeps saying memory
I am just wildly guessing but I would put my money down on the RAM sticks not being XMP-enabled and having a shitty time running on JEDEC speeds
but how do i test them
memtest86
it says i need a usb
yeah memtest86 is like an OS, you need to boot up on it
i dont have a usb
but do you know whether you have XMP enabled or no?
idk what that is
what model of memory sticks are you using?
check in cpu-z
?
CPU-Z is a freeware that gathers information on some of the main devices of your system :
Processor name and number, codename, process, package, cache levels.
Mainboard and chipset.
Memory type, size, timings, and module specifications (SPD).
Real time measurement of each core's internal frequency, memory frequency.
T...
?
What do i do here
what do i click
haha their site is a bit messy :D
just download the setup
on the big purple button
the first of the purple buttons
skibidap yes yes
it has so many things bruh
ah perfect, lemme stare at the numbers for a while
ah ok
I see the issue now
it's not your RAM
or well, there's a small chance it might be your RAM still
since you're running cheap RAM sticks on CR 1
but I've seen weirder things than cheap RAM working on CR 1
however
your CPU is overclocked
but its not above 60
it's overclocked to 4.95GHz at a very low vcore
this is probably in idle though but
I'd check what your max vcore and max CPU frequency is
how
it kinda looks to me like the vcore is too low for that frequency
run OCCT for a stability test
how
Ocbase is the home of OCCT, the most popular all-in-one stability / stress testing / benchmarking / monitoring tool available for PC
whichever is fine
first one if in doubt :p
the first and second one are identical, just different skins
the third one is the latest beta version
ok ill do the first
it'll nag you with a bunch of timers asking you to become a patreon
but it's free if you just wait a while
perfect
check the voltage while running a test
it'll also output any eventual errors in the log
running a test?
yeah
and if your PC bluescreens while you run the test, start the app again and it will display the last known information before the crash
what test
the play button in the lower left
yeah
and what now?
my pc needs to get blue screen again?
nah
where can i check?
ah
?
can i put the test off?
but dont i need to check voltage while playing apex legends then?
it always goes out when playing 1 or 2 games
and sometimes i get blue screen
yes you can just stop the test
but
I'm not entirely sure if your frequency / vcore values are actually sane
I'm not super well-versed with AMD specs
what do i do now?
@ionic linden is 1.32V at 4.95GHz normal for a 5900X?
?
so the problem is is that my pc is overclocked?
but i didnt do that
i dont even know how to overclock or underclock
I'm not sure, it could be
@ionic linden
don't ping her again xd she'll reply when she's able to
sorry
I think it might be some auto overclocking feature of your motherboard that is making it go to 5GHz
I'm not sure what the auto OC feature called on AMD
All core or what
yeah
yeah I kinda had a hunch
can i close these 2?
feels like some silly auto overclocking feature making up some crazy config
causing BSODs
yeah
you need to go into your BIOS and find whatever weird feature is automatically overclocking your CPU
how can i go into my bios
how can i check
so i restart my pc?
yes
Why my mouse moving so weird?
hmm... everything at auto...
I mean
theoretically that should mean no overclocking
but who knows how asrock does it
check the third option, "CPU Frequency and Voltage(VID) Change" what other settings are there than auto?
is it only auto/manual or is there some default setting there?
hm
You should run a Cinebench R23 multithread loop with HWiNFO open
Then send pictures of the CPU clocks and core voltages as shown in HWiNFO while Cinebench is running
I need to leave bios?
How can i do that?
what do i do now?
Download HWiNFO and Cinebench r23
Yeah
windows 10 and windows 11 are the same for almost all intents and purposes
which one do i download
but windows 10 is different isnt it
?
probably xd
which one?
you should get an adblocker
?
which one of the 4?
emily?
hm
Please help me
What can i do
my pc keeps restarting man
its so annoying
i cant play regular apex games without getting kicked every game
I mean run the check that Emily asked for
Cinebench R32 multithreaded while looking at hwinfo64 (or hwmonitor, it's the same info)
I am like 99% sure it is your motherboard auto-overclocking your CPU to an unstable degree
but idk how
idk what to download
they're all the same
so which one
yes
?
69
pick fosshub
what now
Portable
Extract the downloaded archive
Run hwinfo64.exe
Check sensors only, click start
Expand core vids and core clocks
Then run Cinebench multicore test and send a pic of hwinfo
Yes
You accept and click start next to multicore test
so then what is the problem that makes my pc randomly restart/give blue error screen with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Memory maybe
it says that in event viewer too
what's your memory speed
where can i check?
Task manager > performance > memory
At the bottom right
:(
so then what could possibly be the problem?
Not sure, is this only happening at idle
no
sometimes when i play a match
sometimes after
sometimes i can play more matches
but it will always restart
Well something's defective then
Try setting the memory down to 2133 MHz in the bios and see if that fixes it
i know how to go to bios but i dont know how to change that
What do i do now?
In oc tweaker maybe
Look for Dram frequency
yes
#1096755015139463228 message
and then?
look at the screens from CPU-Z
I had an early hunch that maybe those A-Data sticks don't like CR1
And then exit?
I'm not sure how common it is that CR 1 works on cheaper RAM
yeah save and exit
Okay
Again?
Run them at 2133 and see
I got 2 ram sticks
That's base speed
I changed that
I did that
I will now try to play apex
see if it changes anything
Well that's all
See if you still crash
It crashed
It didnt
I'm leaning towards defective cpu at this point
It stays at 0%
The blue screen error
It always does
@green mica is that the reason why there’s no dump created?
Because it doesnt complete?
do you know why i dont have a dump folder?
my pc keeps crashing but i dont get a dump folder
do you know what i can do?
how?
it's at least worth a try
well that's pretty difficult to explain
you need to find the manual memory timing settings in bios
and you possibly need to set all the timings manually and not just the command rate
depending on how your bios is designed
how can i do that?
how can i check?
prebuilt
the name of the computer?
the brand of the pc?
bro idk
it doesnt say it anywhere
i didnt build it
picture of the inside?
its too dark in my room
wait
you cant really see ity
nvm
it's an asrock b450m pro4
sorry it's actually asrock b450m pro4 r2.0 even
here's the manual
I gotta run and do some work so I can't help any more until later tonight
around what time will you be back?
I'm not sure, I'm headed to a small banquet so I might be late
because they send it in 2 days
I would suggest you try updating your BIOS also if you haven't already: https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M Pro4 R2.0/index.asp#BIOS

global or china
yeah it looks like you're already on 5.70
so nvm
you don't happen to have any random spare memory sticks lying around?
no😂
this is my first pc
no
because i odnt have ausb
dont*
well i have one but i used it to redownload windows one time on an old laptopl
idk if i can use it again
no
but it was to remove a virus
im not even 100% if i have that usb
why cant i run the memtest without a usb?
i dont have that
do i need to buy something new?
why cant i run memtest without anything?
hm
@ionic linden
what does the memtest do
because the memtest wont have any use if its hardware right?
@ionic linden cant i put the dram even lower?
DRAM FREQUENCY
I can put it on 1866
Thats the lowest
Bro it restarts while im in a match
@ionic linden please?
I'm pretty sure you have a defective cpu
what is that
could it be that something went a bit loose in the hardware when i removed some safety thing which required me to open the pc
like in the pc itself
the case
was 2 weeks ago
i think
since i got my pc
memtest runs a bunch of tests on the entire RAM
well we're not entirely sure yet
or do this?
idk how to underlock
underclock
Idk anything about pc’s
Sorry
man i have no idea what to do
none of my friends know anything about this either
so how do i underclock?
but i dont want to decrease performance
bro whats thiss
it wont let me remove
imma reset my pc
and redownload everything
bro whyyy
@ionic linden
please help me
BIOS update sometimes be missed by settings.. check your bios version in the official website of your motherboard..
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Is that the only one?
What did you do to cause it
i think you're a little behind
Wdym?
i reinstalled windows already
Yes but windows 11 or 10
i cant go from windows 11 to 10
Because your ticket is tagged with windows 11
because its windows 11
You can install windows 10
I had to do it
Because I was having a error hypervision_error
This error is a hardware related error... it has nothing to do with windows version!...
Oh
yeah the company scammed me
Still it could be windows 11 thinking it’s a hardware issue
Damn
Nah tho I would still try windows 10
My blue screens are to do with my drivers
the pc came with windows 11
So did mine
i cant go to windows 10
test the PC and check whether it throws BSOD error!.. good luck..
It’s very rare for a pc to run windows 11 and not be able to run windows 10
@green mica
fr I told him so many times
idk he should get it anyway
@ionic linden i got the minidump folder!
this is what it says on WinDbg
Did you face any bsod during or after the memtest?...
Great!...
Did you test the games yet?..
Keep using your pc and inform us if you face that same bsod again!...
I did
It made a minidump
It crashed like 3 times already
Okay!...I will read it..just hold
Alrigt
It crashed again
So the problem is my motherboard?
it crashed 4 times already since the memtest86
some guys suggested i should install windows 10 and that it would maybe fix it
but if its hardware that wouldnt matter right?
it will still crash on windows 10
btw 3 of them i cant.. i dont have permission to open it
This is your root cause...WHEA(124) refers to hardware error... but
first check whether you have latest bios or not!...
Install chipset drivers from your motherboard manufacturers website...not from AMD or windows updates
Also remove ryzen master control or any sort CPU or memory OC...
Then check if it still crashes...
IF it does..then prepare to RMA/claim warranty!...
i reset my bio
bios
idk my motherboard manufacturers website
how can i remove ryzen master control?
what is RMA/claim warranty?
wth
there's so many downloads on this site
what do i install
but theres 5.70
global?
oh
i will plug my usb in
what now?
why do i randomly have 2 usb drives?
delete volume?
i can only delete 1
bruh what
it deleted disk 0
i didnt even click delete on disk 0
oh its backj
what now?
my usb doesnt show in file explorer anymore
wth
the application randomly closed
theres nothing
what do i need my usb for to download this?
wait do i need to be on the laptop downloading it?
no
