Probably a bug in the latest version of Chromium then.
Log a bug report with the Chromium team, and use Firefox until it's updated.

Alright, can confirm it is not an issue on my computer.
That doesn't necessarily stop it from being a bug in Chromium, however.
I recommend you check for application updates, and Ubuntu updates.
Make sure both are up to the latest.

I tried it on my system and it did not replicate.
So I don't know what's going on there, but my general recommendations would be:
- Check Ubuntu and make sure it's up to latest.
- Check Chromium and make sure it's up to latest.
- Uninstall all unused Chromium browsers and then reinstall Chromium.
As some good first steps.
