Basically my laptop ran out of battery which is fine, usually I put it to charge and I can continue on using it. The issue is that it became incredibly unresponsive making every single task waiting agony.
For context, my laptop is a late 2022 model with 12800hx and 3070ti so it’s not supposed to take 30+ seconds to open Opera or any browser. I believe the problem could be related to the CPU as my GPU runs smoothly(tried to run couple of games which all had good rendering performance as long as I don’t make any inputs).
I’ve checked Powercfg options, I’ve checked my OEM software settings which supposedly allow my pc to use full power. Another thing I’ve done is to disable intelppm from the registry which I’m pretty sure didn’t do anything so I’ll most likely revert that change due to my general dislike of touching settings I don’t know much about.
As for usage of my hardware in task manager, my CPU peaks at around 20%(mostly stays under 10%), RAM is consistently around 20-30% and my GPU is running at 0% as long as I’m not giving it any tasks. For additional information I opted to using discrete graphics mode instead of using both discrete and integrated as it helped tiny bit with responsiveness of the screen.
I believe that’s about it. Thanks in advance for any help!
