you can't enforce directwrite system wide

it's something the application handles

and i don't think that's the issue either, i'm on 11 with 10's notepad (which doesn't use directwrite) and it works

every font is a vector

yeah win10 notepad uses gdi text which straight up doesn't support colour font rendering
