explorer.exe won't start

I just installed the latest version available in the dev channel, after switching from the beta channel to the dev channel.
But since the update was installed, I noticed that explorer doesn't start with the computer, and doesn't want to start at all when i try ti manually start it using taskmgr.
I've tried all the options available in the cmd, at least I think: sfc /scannow, dism, dskchk, I must confess that I am a bit hopeless, and I am afraid to lose all the software I've installed (even on my D: drive) if I need to reset windows while keeping personal files
