#laptop randomly slows down game fps when i plug in charger

As the title says and this has never happened before and i tried restarting my fps is just stupidly low my fps in doors before was 60 now not even 15 fps

Most likely your laptop is lowering your performance because it's worrying about overheating which is completely normal

is it as simple as computer is going into "energy saving mode" instead of "performance mode" when the charger is connected?

you can only see this information if you go into the Windows power plan settings, or whatever power plan program that's installed on your computer
