Hey, I recently had questions regarding color management with Windows. I have an Asus Vivobook Pro 14X with an HDR screen. I need very accurate colors to print my photography work in AdobeRGB but I was wondering if I should use the HDR option or not.
I calibrate my display using a i1Display that spit out ICC profiles.
In HDR mode, colors look fine in color managed apps (i.e Photoshop and Lightroom Classic in my case) but when HDR mode is unabled, the handy color profile option dissapears and I have to use the legacy menu.
When I switched back to non-HDR and recalibrated for it, I felt like colors were a bit different in color managed apps (it's not the most apparent and I don't know how to accurately compare both) but my windows environment colors looked wayyy too saturated.
So I am wondering which option should I use to get the most accurate colors and a pleasant experience using my laptop in a day to day life (I use firefox and enabled color management but having super saturated colors in windows is sort of annoying)
Thank you in advanced to anyone that will assist me !
I know my way around Windows, but colors are such a complicated domain..
