#DNF, even though you cross the finish

I've noticed that if you cross the finish line in a grand race with 3 seconds or below your position will be DNF, can you please fix this error, I don't know if PC or PS owners have noticed this I'm on x box series x , no doubt I shall be corrected by the self appointed hierarchy that constantly scan the comments
