So when I click on the thing I circle in red to set the time the same as my pc, I notice that it's not the same time and it's far from it. Here when I click that button, it put the time at 1am but my time is 21 pm. So idk how to fix it

Thanks for posting in the support forums, willigiguere!

Guidelines and First Steps:

  1. Please include your se.log file located at <Steamapps>/common/SpaceEngine/system/se.log.
-# Beta users can find the log file @ %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Cosmographic\SpaceEngine\logs
-# ^ This step is not optional for 95% percent of issues. If you need to know how put "!p log" into the chat below and i will give you a step-by-step
  2. Is your installation modded? Not all mod authors keep up with updates, and old or buggy mods can cause many issues, even those that may not seem related.
  3. Are you on the latest version? Older versions of SpaceEngine are not supported. Check your Betas tab in Steam to make sure you are on the current version.
  4. Have you updated your graphics drivers recently? We only test against up-to-date drivers. Old drivers can cause a plethora of issues.
  5. Does your PC meet the system requirements? (Windows 10, Dual core Intel i3 3rd gen / AMD FX or better, 6 GB RAM, GeForce 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 460 (4 GB)).

@open ravine SpaceEngine uses Universal Time (UT), which is usually corresponding to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the time zone at Meridian 0. Since your local time is 21 i.e. 9pm then you live in Eastern Daylight Time zone, which is GMT-4 .

The program correctly gets your time from your computer, it's just that in general astronomy uses UT as reference time and SE uses that for its calculations.
Whenever we want to know when an astronomical phenomenon happens, like an eclipse, we will say "begins at 10:00 UT" so people knowing in which time zone they live they know when to expect the thing.
