I tried getting back into Space Engine today and wanted to take some pictures of this system I found. But my camera was unable to move and was stuck on one position. I do not know how to describe it further, but I do have a video of it.

Thanks for posting in the support forums, sniperclaw!

Guidelines and First Steps:

  1. Please include your se.log file located at <Steamapps>/common/SpaceEngine/system/se.log.
  2. Is your installation modded? Not all mod authors keep up with updates, and old or buggy mods can cause many issues, even those that may not seem related.
  3. Are you on the latest version? Older versions of SpaceEngine are not supported. Check your Betas tab in Steam to make sure you are on the current version.
  4. Have you updated your graphics drivers recently? We only test against up-to-date drivers. Old drivers can cause a plethora of issues.
  5. Does your PC meet the system requirements? (Windows 10, Dual core Intel i3 3rd gen / AMD FX or better, 6 GB RAM, GeForce 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 460 (4 GB)).

looking at the video, your camera is moving towards the planet and back at one point, so it doesn't seem stuck in a position. Maybe your mouse turn speed is slow? press "G" two times to go rapidly to the selected object, press "2" then "1" to reset to camera free mode and see if whatever you're experiencing stops

will try that
it really wasn't stuck in a position; it was more of like stretching a rubber band, if you let go it'll return to its original position like whats happening in the video

#

yeah that really didn't seem to work

Oh. To turn around, you press left click and drag the mouse. To "move your head" you press the middle/scroll button and drag.

#

The latter will return your camera to original position

#

In-game tutorials are useful in case you don't use the program for a while
