So, I headed over to Earth, and it was REALLY low quality, and so was the moon, can anyone help?

The reason for major solar system objects (except for the Sun) having low quality textures is because they use custom texture files instead of procedurally generated textures.

If you have tens of gigabytes of disk space available, there's free DLC available for HD textures of solar system objects.
