Hi, can someone explain why my damage is so trash? xD What’s my problem? Since BfA, I’ve been raiding at a CE level, but this tier I’m really struggling to do the damage I’m supposed to with my class. I didn’t have this issue in previous tiers.

I can’t seem to find the problem, but one thing I’ve noticed is that my Mortal Strike isn’t doing as much damage as other players’, and I might be using Heroic Strike too much.

At a glance, it looks like you missed out on some add pad (this is about 4-7k of your overall), but most of the difference is just in the boss damage itself.

Most of it can be explained via downtime (or near-downtime) at various points throughout the fight. For example, on Vorasius, you had very low dps from about 1:00 to 1:14. During this period of ~14 seconds you were pulling about 10k-30k dps. Nothing will ruin your overall dps more than elongated periods of zero casts/low-casts.

The other part for Varasius is within Execute Range (~35%).

• Make sure you're only casting MS if you have 2x stacks of Executioner's Precision (ie: cast MS every 2 Executes)
• Don't cast a third execute, it should be an MS instead if you have the rage

Okay, that explains a lot. So before 35% I should build stacks with Overpower and then use Execute / Mortal Strike, and once the target is at 35% it’s Execute, Execute, Mortal Strike. That probably won’t always work because of rage gaps, but that’s what I should aim for.

For example, what if I only have 1 stack of the Overpower buff—should I still use Mortal Strike, or wait until I have 2 stacks

I mean below 35% I only use Mortal Strike with 2 stacks. But what about above 35%—should I always wait until I have 2 stacks?

Never ever worry about stacking Overpower buffs (or how many charges you have). Consider the overpower buff that increases MS as a "cherry on top", but it's never something to chase or worry about

• You swap to Execute Priority at 35%

Alright, thanks for the quick analysis—I’ll try to put that into practice. I’m not even sure why I sometimes have these small downtimes. Maybe I’m just getting too old for this stuff 😄
