#Parsing in the Mid 50-60 range. Not sure what Im doing wrong

salhadaar is an uptime heavy type boss where you can basically perma hit the guy so every single time you miss a gcd that's basically -3 parses.
You had multiple gaps in your gameplay and you also didn't overlap odyns fury with the add spawns.
Agreed. My team was struggling to kill the orbs so I had to leave the boss a few times to get them down. Could you possibly look at our other kills and give some pointers?
that's not how you're supposed to play that fight.
you're supposed to keep salhadaar right next to the orbs
In that case would it then be more beneficial to play Thane?
That's the only case where thane is able to compete with slayer, but regardless of that, slayer can still deal damage to it via CDs.
So still prio Slayer but focus on boss and orbs when they approach boss. Got it.
This is the top5 on salhadaar. Thane and Slayer can both perform really well, clearly.
you're overthinking it, truly.
Raidboss should stand next to adds
without touching them
you should cleave them
if you cant whirlwind cleave them, then odyns fury cleave them
it's that simple
Thank you. Appreciate your feedback
@sly python Just to add to it cuz I had the same problem with this boss where in my groups the tanks didn't let the boss near the orbs to cleave. So it's either run to the orbs and lose time or focus on ST on the boss and it's not good. In this case, you cannot do anything about it, just have a mid parse ?
You should never run to the orbs.
If the raidlead complains, tell them to fix the strat
No reason to be inefficient on purpose
So just focus on boss the parse will be better ?
Unless you got mechanics to do then it's gg right ?
You play the fight correctly by training the boss. The adds should "naturally" get cleaved by the sheer nature of your tanks kiting salhadaar next to them.
And if you go pire ST on this boss, and doing this fine, you get a good parse or you are bound to have a tank that know how to deal with the orbs and in order to cleave and have a good parse?
dude. just play the fight. it aint that deep.
Sure but I did it twice and got a green parse, just wanted to have some addition insights about it
this was rank 2 at the time
