First Raid - Review Log as a Fury

I'm a old player that finally decided to actually play endgame and the objective is to do heroics and mythic plus on a accessible level, for that, I believe reviewing logs is essential but I'm very blind on what to look to or what tools to use.

Since I did a raid (https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/mg1Qy6rtMZ7Wb9Jp?fight=4) I want some help on how to improve myself and sure, I wouldn't mind people actually point out improvement but I also want to understand how people are getting that perspective/point, should I sim myself and compare the results vs the log? I was achieving between 41k and 51k but almost always in the bottom line for DPS.

I also already looked on #dps-faq and will follow the specific builds for either ST or Cleave bosses and my focus is on Trickets and then upgrades in general since I don't always have Mastery and Haste.

Just initially looking - I can see one big issue. You are using an outdated DPS rotation, things have changed and we do no longer prio CN/RB usage like we did before.

Go to #dps-faq and read up on the updated prio-list. This will be a gigantic step up for your DPS. It might feel a bit like homework, yet once you get your head wrapped around this new situation, it just makes sense (if albeit a tad boring kind of a prio list).

I can see that you are a bit overwhelmed or rusty in your gameplay, seeing a lot of dead GCDs (you not pressing a button when you could). You also don't have a 'correct' flowing or working enrage buff uptime thanks to wonky rotational prio, you got rage overflow galore. Kinda a repeating point, but it is to stress the importance.

Now, I think there is little more to be gained for you by me going into more detail, as these fundamentals are just too important to ignore - you simply need to fix them before anything else is done. Rest is muddled away.

So focus on the mentioned things, then come back once you got a feeling that you understood and mastered these elements with new logs in hand.

In order of importance:

• Update yourself on the APL (action priority list; rotation) #dps-faq
• Focus on uptime on the boss, and always be spending your GCDs. The rotation is important, but if you dont press a button in the first place, it is all a moot point.
• Remember to always be enraged and to be more aware to not rage overcap (again, this could be you thinking in the old way of "CB is cast over Rampage" logic, that is outdated).

I wish you the best, you should see quick and solid improvments once these 3 points are addressed. Luckily they are also relatively easy to get all in 'one go' of improvement focus.

Thank you, that was very solid, I was went to some websites (one of them even recommends this discord) but comparing with a top DPS I see one major difference, as shown in the image and I think it's using Bladestorm when adds pop-in instead of using out of the gate.
