Prot review Floodgate M+

Anyone who can bother to take a look at my log for a 16 Floodgate? I am new to Prot Warrior and generally only play Prot Paladin. My damage generally seems way lower than it should be.

Not sure if its me spending Violent Outbursts incorrectly, pressing revenge too seldom or if there is something else missing. I have tried to look at top logs, but they seem to be running execute talents. Not sure if that is needed to do good DPS also. Anyhow, I feel like I should be able to get a way better log than this if I know what I am doing wrong

Nothing here is particularly egregious, with the exception of violent outburst not being talented.

You aren’t running shield spec which I would recommend doing over bloodborne. You’d lose a small amount of dps but gain a large defensive benefit. Yoda/kira play this but imo not worth.

At the 16 level I’d recommend dropping bsv for massacre but that’s a preference. Unlikely at 16 you’re getting a lot of value out of it. You somehow procced it 5 times that key which is a lot though, so maybe not.

You are wasting a lot of rage, which will mean something when outburst is procced.

Your positioning seems to be a little rough as your blocked hits are kinda on the lower side, this likely correlates to your increased bsv procs

Picking up outburst would likely have brought you up to purple at least

You also had a Druid sandbagging dps

The Hunter picked up the slack for the Druid as well, but yeah I assume the lack of Violent Outburst and general trolling with rage fucked me pretty hard.

In regards to Violent Outburst (when you actually talent it lol) I assume you want to try and use it on Shield Slam on Bosses and then just let it procc on whatever on packs, or do you want to make sure it goes on Clap during trash?

Yes - if you send it on blast on single target that’s not super bad, you’ll lose a little damage

But for the most part you only want to use it on blast on trash
