Yes I did eat tons of back hits, wasn't particularly concerned with that one in a 15

Lots of Violent Outburst procs sent on Thunder Clap. Obviously, if those are in 7+ targets then great, and AK has some pretty large pulls, but it's worth taking a look at because that is a LOT of TC casts while VO is up.

Talents are a little odd imo, but if they work for you, they work for you. I'd personally drop Massacre for BSV, and drop Bloodsurge and Enduring Alacrity for RRH and Heavy Handed. But that changes your playstyle to more heavily rely on Execute, and if you just don't want to change up the priorities like that, then keep it like you have it. Technically it's more DPS to go Execute talents.

#

Overall, obviously you're pumping and gj but those are the two things that jumped out at me

dawn pelican
#

i would venture a guess that many of them would have been better served as shield slams

solid meteor
#

I would suspect that as well. Easy enough to go take a look through the log using pinned casts and figuring out how many mobs you hit. Anything in the first 30s of pull 1 is obviously worth sending on TC (although, you have so many TB resets in that pull, that you usually won't have access to TC anyway)

Something to note just in your opener

#

This is less warrior related and more just tank related

#

But when you gather this pull, you generally wanna taunt, thunderclap -> leap -> taunt -> avatar for the reset thunderclap if its not up yet, then pull it all together

#

Then hit thunderous demoralizing

#

Its a shitty pull for prot warrior, but such is prot

dawn pelican
wide locust
#

Yea a common yhing ive seen is that prople forget leap resets taunt

#

ao thats helpful as well

#

Also are you tracking dps abilities through omnicd

dawn pelican
#

frost dks sometimes but it depends on if they're syncing their cooldowns or not

wide locust
#

Yea its just helpful yo track

#

your chaining heavily depends on thehm

#

hranted i cant review that easily thru a log

dawn pelican
#

ele shams I do try to pull around because of how impactful ascendance is

#

especially with a lust window coming up

wide locust
#

i hate them playing 3 min ascendenxe

#

if you cant line a pull up for them uts misery

dawn pelican
#

arcane mages I struggle with the most, especially when I try to line up funnel for them and then they pop all their cooldowns on the pull before the boss

#

then I spend the rest of the dungeon trying to re-optimize

#

I'm not really sure how to course correct when that happens because it typically just means everything I had planned before the next boss needs to be compressed - or they end up holding their cds and not sending on a big pull and they use them on a boss with only a few adds pulled in

#

good example is halls on the pull after the second boss - I'll tell them not to send so they can get maximum boss damage, since we'll pull like 5 adds into the boss, but then they pop all of their cds on that trash pack and we end up with no way to adjust

wide locust
#

Yeah this is one of those you can't really course correct a pug thing

#

Its not a problem you can solve

#

The best you can say is don't do it

#

and if it happens, you can't hack their pc and stop them yk

#

That said, you just do the pull normally, if you can

#

You can try your best to play around their cds, but if they don't follow it, not much u can do

#

Some other stuff to note, is that you pull 7 crawlers together

#

Unless you're optimized to deal with poison dispell, which your team isn't really

#

I'd recommend chaining this

#

Wait for attendant to die, and for the first 4 crawlers to get low, then pull the pat as they're dying

#

This is a common mistake I see a lot of tanks make, its just a really hard pull for not much optimization, because its a downtime pull anyway after ixin

#

You don't have a whole lot and life is really rough

#

Some other stuff, you don't use disrupting shout as much as you should

#

You got like 8 casts of it in a key, could probably aim for much higher than that

#

Tempered Potion usage is low

#

Could aim for double of this I believe

#

Also sitting on two stacks of shield wall for a while

#

even if you're nopt taking a whole lot of damage

#

Theres no reason to place strain on your healer

#

The less they havet o heal you, the easier things are on other people

dawn pelican
#

mans wanted his dps

wide locust
#

crying fuck dk players

#

Rally cry usage is good,

dawn pelican
wide locust
#

Yeah you're generally never gonna get that in pugs

#

I generally wait until everybody has used a kick (which sometimes is never in pugs cuz lmfao)

#

and then use it

#

to lock stuff out

#

granted thats like just me being very used to pugging

#

the only other way i use is if i can somehow get cds to sync up

#

I'll hit disrupting so nobody has to swap during cds

#

Other than that, you should be using taunt more often

#

Nobody can rip aggro off you when you taunt, so its probably just a good habit to get into with prio targets

#

Just a good safety net for when somebody h its a 50mil crit or something insane on the first or second gcd

#

And I thikn the last thing to note of any value is that

#

You coul;d probably be in battle stance here n there since you're so tanky and the key level is rather low

#

Obviously not a great habit, but on bosses like second boss, and last boss where you're not actively taking a whole lot of damage yourself

#

Those shield wall usages could come in handy with the battle stance active

#

Granted thats like a very minor thing that im recommending as a result of your comfort with the class

#

Just a min max thing

#

Other than that, hopefully those were some good pieces of advice for you LOL
